Today we’d like to introduce you to Melanie Maldonado.
Hi Melanie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Right when covid hit, basically my life changed.
I was in high school (eleventh grade) when everything happen! Basically, when covid hit, I had a lot of time to myself, to think about my future. My parents were struggling a lot when covid was happening since my dad has a lawn business and oven cleaning business. And they didn’t need him much anymore due to people cutting their own lawns and pizza places being closed.
I have seen the struggle they were going through and I wanted to help.
The restaurant where I was working at cut my hours so I was barely working. I literally sat in my room thinking about what I could do to help out, and what could I do in my future to make a lot of money to never see my family struggle again.
So that’s when I decided to look online! I searched “how to make money online”, “Ways to make more money”. Did my research on a few things that YouTubers were talking about but the results didn’t go that far. It wasn’t until this ad (talking about marketing) caught my interest!
So that’s when I decided to invest in affiliate marketing! Took some trial and error since at first I was on my own trying to put the missing pieces together and was pretty hard doing the journey just based on videos.
It wasn’t until I found an online marketing expert coach. He is the reason I started to really make big money and be able to actually understand what all goes into marketing affiliate products online! Thanks to him I have been able to travel back and forth to Orlando for business/marketing events and help my family out!
I am now a 19-year-old digital nomad, and working towards many more business goals that I want to accomplish! Thanks to believing in myself and not being scared to take a risk to invest!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it for sure hasn’t been a smooth road.
Right at the beginning of my journey, my family didn’t want me to invest in my affiliate marketing coach. My parents thought he wouldn’t actually help me and just didn’t trust it. But I went with my gut feeling and I really did feel a positive energy from him and from his other students that I met virtually.
My other struggles that I had faced throughout the journey has been working on developing good habits, positive thinking and unlearned things/letting go of things that were hurting my results!
In order to become successful, you have to become the truest highest version of yourself and even to this day I work on myself so I can get to really be that person I want to become!
That journey has been most of the toughest part of me doing my marketing business because the choices I make every day affect the outcome of my business!
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Livesotori?
I am an affiliate marketer so I specialize a lot in sales, I promote a product for a company and now that I have been working with my marketing coach for a while he has given me the position to teach some of his other students!
What sets me apart from others- That I am a 19-year-old entrepreneur, who dedicates a lot of her time developing a better her. And growing her skillsets.
What am I most proud brand wise? – I have been able to impact many people’s lives thanks to livesotori. So I have seen many people quit their jobs and become full time online marketers.
If you aren’t sure what online business model to start with or want to create some income on the side, or even become a full time stay at home parent. Starting out with affiliate marketing really gives you the benefit of doing that. And the company Livesotori gives you the ability to work with another affiliate marketer virtually and learn from experts that accomplished their business goals. So you will never have to do the entrepreneurship journey on your own you’ll always have marketers to connect with.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Yes, to be patient, and really be consistent with your work. There will always be some roadblocks that will come but you must remember your WHY so you can push through it and find solutions.
Something I wish I knew before starting out is having a strong why that will always remind you to never give up.
Some questions you can ask yourself to really go deep into your why is Why do you want to go through this journey for? What is the reason why I want to succeed in this? Why do I want so much money for? Is what I’m about to start worth the hustle? If so why?
Lastly, believe in yourself. Who cares who doesn’t believe in that business that you thinking of investing/starting. YOU are the only person that has to believe in yourself. You must visualize yourself crossing that finish line. Those who don’t believe in you will one day be proven wrong! So don’t let their energy affect you and the belief that you have in yourself.
