Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was in Corporate America, my contract was ending, and I didn’t know whether I wanted to continue or just focus on entrepreneurship. I am a healthcare provider and travel agent as well.
My youngest son called stating that he knew a guy that wanted to sell his restaurant, his passion. Since he had already developed the concept of Honey Drizzle we ran with it.
Here we are two years later with 2 company owned and 1 franchised establishment.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This has definitely been an invigorating experience. We’ve overcome scrapes, hurdles, straights, curves, and bruises. I stand firm, absolutely tenacious. If you tell me “no”, or that I “can’t”, I will show you that I can and will.
We’ve had to remain strong and withstanding in both states, Virginia and Texas. Refusing to bow to the extremely critical nay-sayers. Facing challenges head on with the support of amazing our team members, who I refer to as my Honey Drizzle Family. We are prevailing.
