Today we’d like to introduce you to Oprah Stephens.
Hi Oprah, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started shooting in 2014. After talking about wanting to take better pictures for such a long time my husband bought me a camera and basically dared me to shut up or put up. I taught myself most of what I know as well as finding peers and mentors to guide me. I have shot almost every genre of photography to see what suits me best.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Nothing worth it is ever easy. I am a military spouse, which means I have moved around quite a bit. Starting over my business with every new town has been the biggest obstacle. Right up there with having to extrovert so hard when I’m naturally an introvert.

I have been a photographer for over 10 years now and although I have shot everything from babies to weddings. I specialize in Branding Photography for Entrepreneurs. I love all my clients, from booking to gallery delivery, and I am most proud of how I support my clients, who are mostly minority women business owners. I’m their biggest cheerleader and die-hard fan!
