Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Bolanos.
Hi Patrick, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Almost 5 yrs. ago I was let go from a CFO position from a well-known restaurant in Houston; forced to figure out what my next move was, I started selling trailers for another company. As I sold more concession trailers, I noticed we could build the trailers ourselves and partnered up with a well-known builder in Houston. My partners and I started selling/building concession trailers in front yard of his house. We built and sold one at a time. It’s been 5 amazing years, and we passed the 8-figure mark in 2021.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No way. When you start a business, it’s anything but smooth. Challenges are everywhere, especially when you’re bootstrapping a business with your personal credit. Some weeks we were on the verge of not being able to pay payroll, but the hard work and perseverance allowed us to keep going. Then we went through the pandemic, which we thought was the end of it for us, but it lit a fire on our industry. With came a ton of struggles, keeping up with demand, inflation, suppliers not being able to provide the materials on time. I remember the first day when they announced the shutdowns; we drove ourselves to the health department and requested we be classified as an essential business; they agreed and handed us a letter to give to our team members.
We understand we have to pay the price for what we want for our customers… and we’re ready to do that.

I’m originally from Nicaragua; I jumped back and forth between the US and Nicaragua until finally landing in Houston; we lived through civil wars and harsh economic times, that’s where I got my work ethic, from watching my grandparents and parent struggle to put food on the table.
