Exploring Life & Business with Princeton Jou of Timesquare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Princeton Jou.

Princeton, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Ever since I was a kid I always loved to draw on my clothes and just customize things my own way, and then one day I was designing logos and came upon one that was so unique but simple. I thought to myself “What would I name this logo?” and then I thought of “Timesquare”. This name stood out to me because it was nothing like the others and it was iconic. That day was when the thought of Timesquare was born. In around 2023 I was bored every single day of the summer and was just on my phone and came to realization that I couldn’t just wait here and not work on myself. I also came to realize that I don’t need to be an adult to do the things I want to do. That’s when I got a notebook and started to draw some designs and then I made the designs come to life. When I started out I was a bit rusty but now I got the hang of it and now I know what platforms to present my brand on, what to promote, and how to promote. Recently i’ve felt like my next clothing release is going to be so much better and different from the past clothing releases, so I’ve reset the next release to drop 1 to show a brand new restart that’s much cleaner. I’m looking forward to success and to brand new amazing opportunities.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Success never comes easy with a smooth road but it’s the price i’m willing to pay and continue to keep paying for this success. I’ve had many obstacles in the past and one of the biggest problems i’ve had has to be when I first started and had no sales and didn’t know how to promote. I overcame those obstacles by looking for different platforms and just promoting on social media. You always have to find things your own way because there’s so many people in the world eventually people enjoy your way of doing things.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Timesquare is a fashion brand I made in 2024. Timesquare is a clothing brand like no other, the clothing pieces are so versatile that it can be luxurious designer or can be streetwear, Timesquare is whatever you want it to be you just have to style it your way. I’m a fashion designer and clothing brand owner of Timesquare. I’m most known as a clothing brand owner. Everytime I go around family or friends they always ask how the brands going and if they can get something for free. What sets me different is that I do things differently, the versatility, and the aesthetic of no other. To create a good clothing brand you need to express your style through your clothes and that’s exactly what I do with mine. My clothes have a vibe that’s luxurious designer mixed with streetwear which are both of my favorite genres so that they can be styled both ways. I’m most proud of starting the brand in general at a young age so I could get the harder things out the way and to be productive in my free time. My clothing brand is an amazing upcoming clothing brand owned by a 15 year old currently and if you’re interested in designer or streetwear type clothing then you should check us out, and even if that doesn’t sound like you then you should still check us out.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I learned from my clothing brand journey is that I should take some breaks and that time and patience is a key to success. There would be sometimes where I would be working so hard that I would forget to eat or sleep. I also would be frustrated because I would spend hours thinking of how I could be designing clothes when I was trying to go to sleep. Another thing that i’m still working on is how I’m always frustrated that I can’t post clothes and promotion right away. That’s why I say to be patient because time will allow the people to come to my brand faster.
