Today we’d like to introduce you to Sonya Brazeal.
Hi Sonya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a native Houstonian, born and raised in Houston, Texas. I’m a graduate of Aldine Sr. High School and Texas State University. I was lucky enough to be chosen as a former Houston Oiler Derrick Doll for the NFL and proudly cheered for our hometown football team for three years. In 1991, I began a career at Southwest Airlines as a Flight Attendant and recently received my 30-year service pin in May of 2021.
Last year, in March, at the onset of Covid-19, Southwest Airlines asked its employees to consider early retirement or take a temporary leave of some sort… 6 months to 5 years. I viewed this as an opportunity to open my own business and help the community keep their homes & business storefronts clean! In April of 2020, my husband and I opened Amazing Window Cleaners, LLC. We provide window cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, home/roof washing & screen repair services. We love to serve our community! As the daughter of a fallen Houston Police Officer killed in the line of duty in 1976, I’ve held tight to my family and faith. I honor and respect those who serve others. This is where I gather my strength and courage to pursue things that seem impossible. Hard work is a friend of mine… through hard work and determination, I’ve managed to find happiness and success. I’m grateful!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not. Life kicks you around a lot. The stack of cards you are dealt in life are not always the hand you want to hold. Having to grow up without a father or siblings did not set me up for the ideal support system but, we managed. My mother and I supported and encouraged each other every day. Even though the road has been bumpy, it’s been an AMAZING experience!

We are a woman and veteran (my husband was in the Air Force), family-owned and operated small business located in Montgomery County. We offer free estimates for window cleaning, gutter cleaning and pressure washing services for your home and business storefront. We have appointments available six days a week. We are insured and bonded. Our employees are professional, experienced and background checked. Our logo was developed & hand-sketched by my husband, which was eventually digitalized to become our brand. We offer screen repair services that set us apart from our competition.
Our services are designed to help lower homeowner’s stress levels by cleaning their homes so they can feel comfortable in their living environment. We all like to have clean things but, we don’t necessarily like to clean them ourselves. Most Homeowners don’t have ladders tall enough to reach the high windows on the 2nd story and generally don’t want to risk their safety to climb a ladder for fear of falling off. How has luck played a role in your success?
We feel very LUCKY! While given the opportunity to be entrepreneurs, we still have a fantastic career with a wonderful airline to fall back on. We feel lucky to have developed our experience from the leaders of customer service… Southwest Airlines. They have been a glowing example of leadership, empowerment and teamwork. They are dedicated to delivering the highest quality of customer service with a sense of warmth, friendliness and company spirit. We use these same practices in our lives and our own company.
