Exploring Life & Business with Tammy Robertson of Macy Grace Events, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Robertson.

Hi Tammy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I grew up admiring my grandmother’s sense of style, decor, and the way she created meaningful moments through entertaining. That appreciation for celebration and connection started the thread.

As a stay at home mom to three beautiful active kids being the sports mom- dance mom-homeroom mom- I found creative fulfillment through planning birthday parties, family holidays, school events, and community celebrations. Creating memorable experiences for my family and friends became something I naturally loved to do.

When my children grew older and moved out, I began to create events on a bigger scale. I realized I could turn what had always been a passion and hobby into something more meaningful and sustainable. From there, the pieces began falling into place naturally. Friends and members of the community trusted me to help lead some of the most important moments of their lives, including weddings, baby showers, graduation parties, and other milestone celebrations.

Over the past ten years, my business has continued to grow through word of mouth and trusted relationships. I loved working on all projects, but I grew particularly fond of weddings, which is the majority of the clientele I serve today. Being able to help people celebrate their most meaningful moments is something I never take for granted, and I feel grateful that a lifelong passion for creating beautiful experiences became the career I love today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. When I started, I had no formal training in event planning, just a love for creating beautiful experiences and a willingness to learn as I went.
One of the biggest challenges was learning how to manage all the moving parts that come with a wedding day. Constructing detailed timelines, coordinating vendors, keeping everything running on schedule, and making sure the bride and her family can truly relax and enjoy the day took a lot of experience and growth. I quickly learned that a huge part of this job is staying calm under pressure and knowing how to problem-solve and pivot in real time. I had to learn how to gracefully put out fires both figuratively and, on one memorable occasion, literally during a reception.
Another challenge has been learning how to navigate the unpredictability of weather, which is often the one thing completely out of your control. I’ve experienced moments where outdoor setups were literally blowing into the ocean, and we had to quickly pivot an entire wedding indoors at the last minute.
But through every challenge, my goal has always remained the same: for the bride and groom at the end of the night saying “That was the best day of our lives!” As long as they feel celebrated, cared for, and able to fully enjoy all the moments that we carefully planned, then I know I did my job.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Macy Grace Events, LLC?
Please tell us more about your business or organization. What should we know? What do you do, what do you specialize in / what are you known for? What sets you apart from others? What are you most proud brand wise? What do you want our readers to know about your brand, offerings, services, etc?

Established in 2016, Macy Grace Events was built on the belief that every celebration deserves to feel meaningful, beautiful, and personal. We specialize in weddings, baby showers, birthday parties, bridal showers, graduation parties, rehearsal dinners, and any gathering that brings family and friends together.
The name “Macy Grace” was inspired by my only daughter. While Grace is not her actual middle name, I’ve always loved what the word represents: kindness, calmness, thoughtfulness, and care. Those qualities are the foundation of how I run my business and serve my clients.
What sets us apart is the personal nature of our work. I lead a close-knit team of five including my amazing and supportive husband, my beautiful daughter and step-daughter along with lifelong friends as backup when needed, and that sense of trust and genuine care carries into every event we plan. More than anything, I’m proud that our clients feel supported, celebrated, and able to truly enjoy some of the most important moments of their lives.
4.How do you define success?
I define success by how people feel when the celebration is over. If a bride, groom, or family member walks away feeling fully present, deeply cared for, and able to truly enjoy the moment, then I know I’ve done my job well.
I work very closely not only with brides, but also with their mothers and families, learning their stories and helping navigate the emotions and stress that weddings can naturally bring. So much of this job goes beyond logistics. It’s about relationships, trust, and creating an experience where everyone can relax and be present.
The greatest compliments I can receive is hearing someone say “It was the best day of their life”, ”Wow, that was amazing”, “Let’s do it all over again” and I’m proud to say we’ve maintained a 100% satisfaction rate with that goal in mind.
