Hi Thomasine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Over 25 years ago, I made a career change from the medical field into the insurance industry. At the time, I accepted a temporary position with an independent insurance agent, not realizing it would lead to a long and rewarding career. What started as a short-term opportunity quickly turned into something much more meaningful.
As I began learning the business, I realized insurance was another way to help people—by educating families and individuals on how to protect their homes, businesses, and financial futures. I became passionate about building relationships with clients and helping them understand their options so they could make confident decisions.
Over the years, my career has grown into roles that included sales, leadership, marketing, and business development across multiple states. These experiences allowed me to work closely with communities, build partnerships with local businesses, and develop strategies to grow strong client relationships.
Today, what I enjoy most about my work is continuing to serve people in the community and being a trusted resource when they need guidance. Looking back, that temporary job opened the door to a career centered on relationships, trust, and helping others protect what matters most.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like most careers, it hasn’t always been a completely smooth road. The insurance industry is constantly evolving, and one of the challenges has been adapting to changes in the market, company structures, and economic shifts that affect both clients and businesses. There were also times when I had to step outside of my comfort zone, taking on leadership roles, managing new territories, or learning new systems and strategies to stay competitive.
Another challenge has been navigating career transitions, especially when organizations restructure or markets change. Those moments can be uncertain, but they also pushed me to grow, develop new skills, and stay focused on my long-term goals.
What I’ve learned over the years is that resilience and adaptability are essential. Each challenge has ultimately strengthened my ability to serve clients, build relationships, and continue moving forward in my career.

We’ve been impressed with Comparion Insurance Company, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I work as an Insurance Sales Professional with Comparion Insurance Agency, a Liberty Mutual company. What makes Comparion unique is that we operate as an independent agency backed by a strong national brand. That means we have access to multiple highly rated carriers, allowing us to compare coverage options and help clients find solutions that truly fit their needs rather than a one-size-fits-all policy.
I specialize in helping individuals and families protect what matters most—whether that’s their home, vehicle, life insurance needs, or personal assets. My approach is very consultative. I focus on educating clients so they understand their coverage and feel confident in the decisions they’re making.
What sets me apart is my commitment to building long-term relationships. I don’t see insurance as a one-time transaction. I believe in being a resource clients can come back to for reviews, questions, and guidance as their lives change.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust and reputation I’ve built through consistency, responsiveness, and genuine care for the people I serve. My goal is for clients to feel they have someone in their corner who is looking out for their best interests.
What I want readers to know is that insurance doesn’t have to be confusing or overwhelming. With the right guidance, it can be a powerful tool to protect your family, your home, and your future.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is building meaningful relationships and making a positive impact in people’s lives. Throughout my career, whether in healthcare or insurance, my focus has always been centered on helping others and providing guidance during important decisions.
I believe trust and integrity are the foundation of both personal and professional success. When people trust you with something as important as protecting their home, family, or financial future, that responsibility means a great deal to me.
At the end of the day, what motivates me is knowing that the work I do helps bring people peace of mind and security for the things that matter most in their lives.
