Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Mendelson.
Hi Tiffany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey to having my own Health + Mindset Coaching business started in 2017, when I picked up triathlon as an outlet from an overloaded life. A year or so into the sport, I started to become injury prone; soon after, I experienced numerous injuries, mainly because of a failure to listen to the underlying issue: I wasn’t caring for myself properly.
It took years of unwiring and re-wiring my brain and body in order to be able to race properly again. To this day I continue to train myself to listen to my body and do the little but crucially important things that so many people ignore: physical therapy, meditation, self-care, to name a few. As soon as I start ignoring these little things again, my training suffers. And that’s the same for everyone.
Through my coaching program, I help people avoid the mistakes I made and by doing so supercharge their progress towards peak performance.
If we want to perform well, and especially if we want to experience and maintain peak performance, we must understand that taking care of ourselves mentally as well as physically is key.
Because of this, I teach my clients to have a strong mind and body on and off the field, while tailoring a program designed specifically for their individual needs. By establishing their baseline, I can use it as a launchpad to select a strategy, adjust my approach and measure their progress as they develop themselves to a point where they not only reach but exceed their goals.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road.
I experienced times where I felt like I was riding high and things seemed like they couldn’t get any better. But I had the opposite, too. It was in those moments of despair when I felt like everything was going wrong, that I felt useless, inferior and failed to make progress that I started to realize that I had a choice, to overcome my limited beliefs or stay stuck. I changed my outlook and perception of life and saw what I was really made of, what I was really capable of, to experience amazing growth.
It was rough to show anyone my weakness and to share my downfalls because I felt like I always had to push through with a smile on my face. I spent a good time of my life allowing myself to be bullied by my bad habits of binging and be blown off course through my negative thinking. My only goal back then was to just succeed in life, and my definition back then of success was to just get through the day. I allowed myself to be influenced by outside pressures that distracted me from my true self and thus was blinded on where I wanted to go. Yet, with an amazing support system of family, friends and coaches I was able to turn my life around and start my own coaching business to coach others to do the same.
It took a few years to learn how to truly heal my mind, body and heart. The learning still hasn’t stopped.
I am on a search to discover my true identity while living authentically every day, so that I can make consistent progress in life, make healthier choices in general and enjoy a balanced lifestyle, one that promotes my values of living authentically, growth and helping others.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I have a saying I live by, limitations are just temporary hurdles. I carry the same mindset for my clients as we discover their incredible potential together.
As a Health + Mindset coach, I stand a part with my unique backstory and that I am a trained triathlete, an award-winning sales veteran, and a lifestyle coach. I have participated in many triathlons and am an Ironman All World Athlete. But this wasn’t always the case. In fact, I’m rather accident-prone and have almost given up on myself many times. I still teach myself daily how to have a strong mind and body to accomplish my physical goals.
I have been given many awards in sales, my favorite of which is my Top 5% sales consultant with Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits. This is important to me because I’m not a formally trained salesperson. In fact, I started at that company in more of a customer service role, and just became great at meeting people and making sales. I worked hard to attain my veteran status.
But probably my favorite thing about me, is that now, because of what I have accomplished, and my desire to help people, I get to pursue my passion every day helping people navigate to and through change.
Change can be paralyzing, so my methods are designed to keep my clients moving towards their health goals as change in motion is much easier to accomplish!
If we want to perform well, and especially if we want to experience and maintain peak performance, we must understand that taking care of ourselves mentally as well as physically is key.
