Vanessa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Honestly, it all started because I could never find clothes that felt like me. I’d go shopping and feel like everything was either too plain or just didn’t reflect my style—or my spirit. I wanted pieces that were cute, feminine, but also carried meaning so I started designing clothes that had both celestial vibes, and protective symbols like the evil eye.
At first, it was just for me but people kept asking where I got my outfits, so I knew I had something special. I launched my boutique in 2020 with tees and earrings, and over time added dresses, jumpsuits, candles, and spiritual items. I wanted it to be more than just a clothing line—I wanted it to be a space where people could connect with their spirituality and still express their style. That’s also why I host spiritual workshops with other Latinx spiritualists. It’s important to me that our community sees people who look like them leading these conversations.
Fashion brought people in, but spirituality helped them stay and grow!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road—but every bump taught me something. In the beginning, I had no idea how to run a business. I was hand-pressing pieces out of my living room, learning how to source fabrics, build a website, handle shipping—all during the pandemic.
There were moments of doubt, especially when people didn’t quite “get” the concept. Some people thought fashion and spirituality shouldn’t mix. But I knew what I was building was authentic—and that kept me going.
It also took time to build a community that appreciated both the aesthetics and the intention behind the brand. But the more I leaned into my culture, my identity, and my vision, the more things started to click. Now, seeing people wear these pieces, attend workshops, and feel seen—that makes all the struggles worth it.
