Today we’d like to introduce you to Vito B.
Hi Vito, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started the Vito Blanco brand at the end of the year 2020, right after the pandemic. Prior to that, I’ve always wanted to start a clothing brand years before, I just didn’t have the courage to jump out there and actually do it. As the pandemic woke me up in a lot of ways, it gave me that confidence and courage to just go for it. I put my mind, money and time and created something I’ve always had a passion for doing. while just making 1 year in business, I can honestly say my hard work, effort, dedication and supporters have kept me going, I didn’t know I could accomplish so much in a year, but I did it, and continue to do it.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Not necessarily a smooth road, throughout this new journey of mine I had to learn patience most importantly. Along with that, being that I’m an e-commerce store I had to learn about how sales work, marketing, content, branding and so many other job duties that comes with it that I had to jump on board and teach myself, which was challenging and all so new to me. I had to open my mind up to more and get organized in my everyday life in order to run a clothing business and make it a priority.
Definitely takes a lot to build a brand, but I’m here tackling all challenges and new experiences that come my way. I’m getting better and better.
As you know, we’re big fans of Vito Blanco. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Vito Blanco is an online men’s clothing store that originated here in Houston, TX. We cater to luxury streetwear – Tracksuits, hats, shorts, and t-shirts, that presents different materials, and fabrics that’s comfortable and with a nice fit to the body. Throughout this year, the brand has specialized and is known for our signature tracksuits which are slim fitted, comfortable, with stretch material. We wanted every guy to feel fly and confident, while enjoying the quality and different colors waves we offer in tracksuits.
It doesn’t stop at luxury streetwear, so much more to come. As the brand continues to grow, we will be expanding to casual wear, swimwear, etc.. making it a broad experience for men to shop all around.
Within one year, Vito Blanco has hosted 8 pop-up shops around Houston, and has been in the hands of several Social media influencers, comedians, and celebrities which have been our biggest accomplishment.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I use to love watching 106 and park, rap city and spring bling on BET. Besides the music, I tuned in for the fashions to see what the popular celebrities was wearing at the time and how I could put a twist to it and re-create the look for school LOL. That early 2000s era was like the coldest.
