Hi Yasmin, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hailey’s Italian Restaurant began long before we opened our doors in 2018. It started as a shared dream – years of late-night conversations about building something of our own, even before we knew exactly what that business would be. Over time, that dream grew stronger, and so did our desire to create something meaningful together.
As the years went on, both my husband and I found ourselves drawn deeper into the hospitality industry. Without realizing it, we were gaining the very experience that would one day become the foundation of our restaurant. My husband spent many years as a Senior Kitchen Manager, mastering every aspect of back-of-house operations – quality, consistency, leadership, and the rhythm of a well-run kitchen. Meanwhile, I developed the marketing, administrative, and creative skills needed to support a business from the front end.
Looking back, it feels as though the path was being laid for us long before we knew where it was leading. Our strengths grew in parallel, and when the opportunity finally came to create something of our own, everything aligned naturally – almost as if we had been preparing for this without realizing it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. When we opened Hailey’s Italian Restaurant, all we had was great food and a dream. As first-time business owners with no formal training in restaurant operations, we had to learn everything the hard way. In the early years, there were many stressful moments that tested our patience, stretched our abilities, and pushed us far outside our comfort zones.
But every obstacle has been worth it. Each challenge helped us grow into stronger operators and more disciplined business owners. Instead of giving up, we kept showing up. Those experiences shaped the standards we hold today and helped Hailey’s Italian Restaurant grow into the beloved staple it is now.

Hailey’s Italian Restaurant is a family-owned Italian restaurant in Cypress, Texas, known for serving fresh, made-to-order dishes prepared with consistency and care. This commitment has allowed us to build a reputation for quality and reliability that our guests trust.

We also encourage guests to order directly from us whenever possible. While third-party platforms like Uber Eats and DoorDash offer convenience, ordering direct allows us to stay more closely connected to our guests. It helps us build real relationships, understand your preferences, and ensure you receive your meal more quickly, straight from our kitchen to your table. And as a bonus, you get to skip those extra service fees no one is ever excited to see.
How do you think about happiness?
For us, happiness shows up in the small, everyday moments that remind us why we do what we do. At Hailey’s Italian Restaurant, it means a lot to know that people turn to us when they need a good meal they can count on, whether it’s a birthday, a casual night out, or one of those evenings when cooking just isn’t realistic. Being trusted with those moments brings us a genuine sense of joy.
We’re also deeply fulfilled by seeing what our restaurant has grown into over the years. When guests return and tell us they’ve been ordering the same dish for years because it always tastes just the way they love, that means everything to us.
