Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisha Taylor.

Aisha Taylor

Aisha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After unexpectedly losing my job over what was purportedly a misunderstanding regarding a state-approved probationary principles certificate, I found myself on a determined mission. It wasn’t just about proving myself to others who may have wished for my downfall; it was about proving to myself that I could overcome this obstacle. The principal test had become my Everest, especially after failing it many times before.

My inner struggle was real, battling against a tidal wave of emotions and self-doubt that threatened to drown me. Despite already holding the title of Assistant Principal, I couldn’t shake off the disappointment of not passing the exam. Why, I wondered, would God place me in this position if it wasn’t meant to be? Yet, in those moments of doubt, I clung to my faith and the belief that there was a higher purpose guiding me.

With unwavering determination, I embarked on a rigorous study regimen, spending countless hours each day preparing for the exam. My routine became sacrosanct – mornings filled with devotion and prayer, grounding me in a positive mindset to face the day ahead.

Months turned into a relentless cycle of study and faith. Then, finally, the breakthrough I had been praying for arrived – I passed the principal exam! The elation was overwhelming, not just for achieving a professional milestone but for triumphing over the doubts that had threatened to derail me.

This victory was more than just a passing grade; it was a turning point in my life. It reaffirmed my belief that every trial and setback had a purpose, shaping me into the person I was meant to become.

Despite being compelled to leave my position after a decade of service, this setback opened doors I never knew existed. Discovering the world of Edupreneurship, I realized the potential to impact lives through education in ways I had never imagined. In an era witnessing a surge in online learning, I embraced the opportunity to redefine my path, using my experience and newfound knowledge to serve others and fulfill my calling.

In passing the principal exam and assuming the role of head principal, I embarked on a journey of entrepreneurship in education, leveraging my gifts and experiences to make a difference. Through it all, I remain grounded in the belief that every challenge is an opportunity for growth and that God’s plan is always greater than our own.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has certainly not been a smooth road. Some of the challenges I have faced are mindset, choosing to stay persistent, embracing new challenges, and my faith and trust in God.

We’ve been impressed with Aspire The Journey, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
