Hi Andrew, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We’re Andrew and Caitlin Smay, a husband-and-wife team based in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Our journey to starting Legacy Softwash Solutions, LLC began several years ago as we talked about our long-term goals as a family. We knew we wanted to build something together that would allow us to serve others, create flexibility for our family, and leave a meaningful legacy for our children.
After much prayer and planning, we officially launched Legacy Softwash Solutions in August of 2025. We believe this business is something God has been cultivating in our hearts over time, and we feel honored to step into that calling. Today, we are building Legacy Softwash Solutions with a focus on quality, trust, and treating every home like it’s our own, as we grow our business and serve our community.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a perfectly smooth road, but we believe the challenges are shaping us in meaningful ways. Like many new business owners, we’ve faced the learning curve of stepping into a new industry, investing in equipment, and building systems from the ground up. There have also been personal challenges including balancing family life, homeschooling our children, entrepreneurship, and stepping out in faith without having all the answers.
As Mark Batterson states in his book Draw the Circle: The 40 Day Prayer Challenge, “We’re so close to the dream, so close to the promise, so close to the miracle. But we’re waiting for God to part the river, while God is waiting for us to get our feet wet.”
There have been moments of doubt, uncertainty, and wondering if the timing was right. Through it all, we’ve relied heavily on prayer, perseverance, and trusting that God is guiding our steps. These struggles have ultimately strengthened our marriage, our faith, and our commitment to building Legacy Softwash Solutions with integrity and purpose.
We’ve been impressed with Legacy Softwash Solutions, LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Legacy Softwash Solutions, LLC is a family-owned exterior cleaning company serving Mont Belvieu and the surrounding Houston area. We specialize in soft washing, a gentle yet effective approach to cleaning homes, roofs, driveways, and other exterior surfaces that safely removes dirt, mold, algae, and grime without damaging surfaces.
