I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like many meaningful journeys, it hasn’t always been smooth — and I believe those challenges helped shape who I am today, both as a clinician and a business owner.
Relocating to Houston and establishing a highly specialized dental implant and prosthodontic practice came with its own set of hurdles. Building trust in a new community, assembling a top-tier team, and investing in advanced technology — all while educating patients on the value of specialized care — took time and persistence.
One of the biggest challenges early on was helping patients understand the difference between general dental treatments and full-mouth rehabilitations or complex implant procedures. These are life-changing treatments, but they require clear communication, financial transparency, and patient education — something we’ve focused on heavily at Periodontal & Implant Surgeons of Houston.
We also launched during a time when digital dentistry was still gaining traction. Introducing new technologies like guided implant surgery, digital smile design, and full-arch restorations required both a clinical and cultural shift — not just within the team, but also with patients.
That said, every challenge has reinforced our commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in Houston. Today, I’m proud of the reputation we’ve built and the lives we’ve changed through advanced implant dentistry.
