Hi Ashley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My passion chose me. From starting in my garage, personal deliveries, and meal prepping to now owning Mamie G’s. Once the pandemic came around, I realized it was the perfect opportunity. The late Mamie G (my grandmother) instilled values, morals, and many recipes within me. I am so grateful for the legacy and the love of cooking that was introduced at a very early age. This value and love have allowed me to start and leave a legacy for my own children.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The journey was not easy; I’ll tell you that. But with challenges comes opportunities. It still amazes me how far I’ve come, thinking back on all the obstacles I had to go through to start my legacy. I have always said that hard work breeds success, where no work seldom does. That mindset as well as the support system I have made it possible to make it through the struggles. We remodeled an old payless shoe store in small town Rosenberg and turned it into a blossoming restaurant, lounge, and bar. And this is only the beginning!

Mamie G’s is a Black Owned, Woman Owned Restaurant, Bar, and Lounge in Rosenberg, TX. With a full menu of delicious options, catering, sections, creative drinks, hookahs, and bottle service, there is something for everyone. We’re known for our exceptional food, delicious cocktails, inviting vibes, daily specials, clean and welcoming environment, and music. We also pride ourselves on no beef and or pork cooked in the establishment and vegan options. We are most proud of being the only one-stop-shop in Rosenberg, and our commitment is to provide a lasting experience. We could tell you all day about what we think is great about Mamie G’s, but in all honesty, that is something you have to experience for yourself.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The most significant characteristics to my success are persistence, creativity, and my desire to learn and improve daily.
