Hidden Gems: Meet Blossom Legend of Goddess Glow Birthing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blossom Legend.

Hi Blossom, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was a chef for 10 years, I got a huge opportunity to bacon cook in Paris. Once I was there, it dawned on me and thr universe, told me I was going to be Doula.

I now am Doula, I help women give birth, I help mothers learn how to regulate their bodies, thus learning how to regulate their babies. And how modern day Medicine needs to include males in the nine month birthing process.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Facing burn out has been a big one. Balancing work, life, and relationships has also been a challenge.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Goddess Glow Birthing?
I am a full spectrum community Doula. I assist men and women in childbirth, education, fertility support, in labor, in delivery and with postpartum and prenatal support. My services include infant loss, and end of life transition support.

A chef of 10 years, herbalist, musician, and a multidisciplinary artist.

I specialize in womb work. Acknowledging the activity, life, creation, destruction and shedding of the womb is crucial. I host full moon, and new moon womb circles with my birthing partner Alisha Kendrick. We host this beautiful space at Radiant Vida Spa in the Heights. We circle, meditate, breathe, sip tea, share, journal and locate our wombs heartbeat. Because it’s such a deep call to action and remembrance, it can feel visceral but we always offer to our guests to just say hi and introduce yourself to her(the womb).
We also encourage opening the conversation to the womb space with Ho’oponopono.

I love you.
I’m sorry.
Forgive me.
Thank you.

It’s a powerful reckoning when it comes to holding a womb space, being pregnant or even having a hysterectomy. Every type of woman and womb keeper in their journey is invited to join us.

Under Goddess Glow Birthing there is several lifestyle products I hand craft. My mystic mango glow butter, made with all organic butters and oils – and it feels incredible on the skin. Handmade tea blends, yoni steams, candles, sitz baths, and working with the powerful sea moss from Grenada, my home country.

What sets me apart from other businesses offering similar services is that I marry my ancestral roots with my food knowledge to create programs, workshops and protocols for families. My intention is to lead and guide humans to better healthier birth outcomes and lifestyle changes.

I’m proud I’ve been in business for almost 2 years and I’ve been able to create impactful community events that bring the people I love together. Most recently I’ve created a expierence with my podcast co-host Dr. Charlie Trinh, Sacred Bites.

When was the last time you prayed for your food? The last time you intentionally gave thanks for the seed, farmer, animals, grains, fruits and vegetables growing to you may be fed?

At Sacred Bites, this event bridges the gap in humanity post COVID-19, with community, organic nutrition, drum circle, singing, dancing and blessing the food and then we break bread and eat together. We have these monthly and we hope to see you at our next one! January 25, 2025 from 4-7 PM!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Kim Way from SBA, she helped me hand and foot helping me create my brand, insight on my offerings and creations. She helped me gain confidence , it was the confidence I needed to be ready for market.

My business consultant Ray Soledad in the UH Sure program, helped me hone in on my numbers, gave me coaching and peptalks to be able to pitch my brand to 5 investors.

Lastly I want to thank my parents Joan and Christopher Noel, for giving me life and allowing me to be who it is that I am.

Joann Webb Woodard my foster mother who helped shape my character, held space for my growth and development and taught me to never give up.

Lastly my incredible friends (you know who you are!!!!!!!!!!), community, and my close inner circle that has help me vend, market, set up at farmers markets, brought food to sacred bites and has offered me sweet words of encouragement, hugs, laughter and love. YOU ALL ARE AMAZING!!!!!
