Hidden Gems: Meet Brandy Lloyd of The Esthi RN PLLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandy Lloyd.

Hi Brandy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In my twenties I worked as a bartender in Miami and Atlanta, I was always into appearance, it was a passion for myself. It did not matter, makeup, skin and hair, it just gave me a fire inside that to this day never has gone away. I found myself completely fixated on skin. It was just a personal passion. Never was I looking at it as a career, never.

My father passed away suddenly and being a single mom at the time, my mother encouraged me to get a stable career – “She said honey you cannot retire as a bartender”

Clueless on a career, there was no interest, so in 2010, I googled: Good paying jobs, and can live anywhere, and low and behold …. NURSING came up!

I graduated from my LPN program in 2013. I then continued my education and earned my RN ADN in 2015, and my BSN 2017. I worked in emergency medicine from 2015-2020 and then during the pandemic I became a critical care nurse, which I am until this day.

I started to become burned out in nursing, I wanted to continue to make a difference. But I did not know which way to go. So, one day I drove by the Aveda school in The Woodlands and went inside, I felt something come over me. I discovered they had an esthetician program, and I went for it graduating in 2023.

During school I fell in love with skincare, my favorite service was waxing and facials. This is something I always done for family and friends and it was always second nature to me.

After graduating, I knew financially I could not just walk away from the hospital, but it did not mean I could not take baby steps into the direction of working in aesthetics with the ultimate goal, which would be to work for myself and give clients in unparalleled experience.

I always personally suffered from excessive hair growth, I paid so much money on waxing, and I always felt rushed, I knew this was a feeling I hated. Then I get home, and hair is missed, or the facial did not feel exclusive. These thoughts and feelings geared me to know when I had business, I would take my time genuinely with each and every client.

I never was embarrassed because I went through great lengths to manage it. I had met so many women through the years, and they just give up, let their skin go. I whole heartedly resent that and want all to feel good in their skin. So, I took a leap of faith and opened up. THE ESTHI RN, PLLC. The goal is for me to take my time with you, rather if it is skin hair removal, a facial, lymphatic drainage massage, I take my time. I also assured my prices are realistic and reasonable.

So, where I am at today is I am critical care registered nurse who is also a licensed esthetician that offers services in The Woodlands. I opened in December of 2024.

Presently I am in school for my MSN and NP to practice in family medicine. But more exciting my focus will be in Dermatology, with an expected graduation date of 12/2026.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest struggle was losing my father before he could see what I have become. He was my best friend. For him not to be around through all of my growth still makes me sad.

I feel like I am in the struggle stage now. But it is a good struggle stage. Working full time and being in school and trying to run a business with consistent hours was very difficult for me. My business is 7 months new. It was also a struggle just to put my dream into the works from scratch was very scary. I knew nothing about a business. It definitely has been a learning process. I also did not want to owe anyone, so everything I have done, has come completely out of pocket.

I also had major obstacles in nursing school, being a single mother, when I initially started out, my children were 3, and 9. They are now 23 and 17. When I met my husband, our family became blended then we had a daughter, so when I started my RN (ADN) program my youngest was 2. She is 11 now. A husband, 4 children under the age of 15, working as a full-time nurse trying to acquire my RN was rough. Not to mention the school was 2 hours away back then.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Esthi RN PLLC?
The Esthi RN is me, a registered nurse and licensed esthetician. I am in The Woodlands at the JC Salon Suites.

Full Body Waxing – Unlike, The Esthi RN places that are chains, they rush you, make you feel uncomfortable, and seem not to educate for the individual. What sets me a part, I take my time, I explain the process and I educate for the individual. Not to mention my wax products are polymer and simply amazing!

Facial services, and I specialize in extractions – Facials, my approach is very old school. Some agree some do not. My mother is 70, doesn’t look a day over her 60. Her skin is immaculate. She never received anything. But what I witnessed and what she swears by is the basics, not items that just take your money. My facials are customized; I do not offer the extra fluff. Ingrown hairs – no matter the skin you are in, I have a special approach, making you as comfortable as possible.

Post op care for cosmetic procedures, many people are going overseas for cosmetic work and come back with limited options of post op care, to include lymphatic drainage massages. What sets me apart that I am dual credentialed and know what to assess for these types of clients.

A dedicated lash tech will be coming soon, as well as me offering Botox and Dermal Fillers, in the fall.

My products are exclusive to Tuel (Skin) and Berodin (Wax). The company is based out of California, non-vegan, cruelty free, and all natural.

More than anything, I care about the skin you are in, do not give up. Let me get you to a place where you will be confident of the skin you are in.

Always encouraging male clients
