Hidden Gems: Meet Breanna Brown of Luxuriously Braided L.C.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breanna Brown

Breanna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was a little girl, I grew up spending my weekends sitting in a beauty shop and I loved the environment that I was in. Since then, I knew I wanted to do hair when I got older. After graduating high school, I went straight to San Jacinto College for cosmetology in August of 2017 and then graduated in December of 2018. After graduating college, I then took the required tests to become a licensed cosmetologist. After becoming licensed, I took a couple of months off to figure out exactly what I wanted to do in this industry. I then came to the conclusion that I wanted to be a full-time braider, which I have been since November 28, 2019. I first started out of my house and I am proud to say I worked hard enough to get my own suite in September of 2020, where I proudly service my clients located in Sugar Land, TX.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing comes easy, so I feel like all the challenges I have overcome only made me stronger as a braider. Along the way, building clientele was one of my main struggles, but keeping faith and a positive mindset has brought me a long way. I’ve learned so much, and I’m thankful for all of my resources and the hard work I have put in day in and day out.

We’ve been impressed with Luxuriously Braided L.C., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in knotless braids, which have been the most popular for a while now! One thing that I can say that sets me apart from others is that I have incredible customer service, including always being a listener and patient with every person I come in contact with. Also, I offer custom color braiding hair that I am so excited about and enjoy making for clients!

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success is about mastering things that will make me become a better braider. I want to be recognized as someone who always does her best and tries her hardest to achieve her goals.
