Hi Brittany, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Snaparoo started because of two things: My marketing experience and my journey as a bride years earlier.
In 2018, while working in marketing and helping coordinate events, I noticed companies were hiring photo booth vendors from out of town to come to Houston. I remember thinking, “Why are they outsourcing something that someone local can provide?” It didn’t make sense to me that local businesses weren’t being chosen for local events.
Then even though my husband and I got married in 2015, I still remembered how expensive photo booth rentals were back then. Then quotes felt like a luxury add-on instead of something every couple could enjoy. Weddings are already expensive, and I hated the idea that people had to cut out fun memories because of cost.
So at the beginning of 2020 my husband Pete and I decided to start Snaparoo. We wanted to offer a high-quality, modern photo booth experience at prices that made sense especially for couples. Our goal was simple make photo booths accessible, not exclusive.
Today, Snaparoo serves weddings, quinceañeras, birthdays, marketing events and corporate events all over Houston and surrounding areas. We’re proud to support our community while giving people a fun, affordable way to capture their moments.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When we bought our first photo booth, the timing could not have been worse COVID hit immediately after. Overnight, events were canceled, gathering stopped. For a moment it felt like we had invested in something we wouldn’t be able to use anytime soon.
But, that unexpected pause ended up shaping Snaparoo in a positive way. Instead of rushing into booking events, we used the downtime to learn about everything. We were able to learn the equipment, the software, play with lighting, and perfect our setup playing around with it at home. While COVID slowed our start, it also gave us space to build a stronger foundation.

Snaparoo Photo Booth is a Houston-based, Hispanic-owned, family-run business that my husband and I built together with one goal in mind making high-quality VIP style photo booth experiences accessible for everyone. We serve weddings, quinceañeras, birthdays, corporate events, and all types of celebrations across Houston.
We specialize in modern, clean customizable photo booth setups with templates that are designed specifically for each event. Because of my marketing background, I put a lot of focus on branding, aesthetics, and creating an experience that feels polished and intentional not just a camera in the corner and a backdrop.
What sets us apart is our story and passion we think couples and families shouldn’t have to cut this experience out of their budget so we allow flexible payment plans. We include add-ons at no additional charge. Things we noticed other companies were upselling, or things we simply feel should be part of every event. We also partner with my mom and brothers’ business Balloon Creations HTX, to offer additional decor options for clients who want a full, cohesive look.
Brand-wise, we are most proud how much Snaparoo has grown and how often people compliment our name, our logo and overall photo booth setup and experience. Guests always tell us our booth was the highlight of their night and that means everything to us. We show up early, we bring the energy and we make sure every guest feels comfortable and excited to take photos.
