Hi Cait, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m Cait—a Houston-based photographer with a love for capturing life as it unfolds. My journey with photography started long before I ever picked up a camera professionally. I was always the one documenting everything—road trips, family gatherings, random moments with friends—and I realized how much joy it brought me to preserve those memories. In 2017, I shot my first wedding, and it completely changed the game. I fell in love with the energy, the emotions, and the stories that come with such a big day.
Since then, I’ve grown my craft and expanded into so much more. Weddings, engagements, and surprise proposals are still my core, but I’ve also had the honor of capturing countless senior portraits, families, branding sessions, newborns, and even the occasional event. Each type of shoot has its own rhythm, but the goal is always the same: to create something honest, timeless, and filled with personality.
Getting to where I am now hasn’t been a straight path—it’s been a mix of trial and error, working with incredible people, and finding my own style along the way. I’ve learned to lean into the chaos, embrace the imperfect, and always keep things fun and relaxed. Because at the end of the day, photography isn’t just about taking pictures. It’s about connection, storytelling, and creating something that lasts long after the moment is gone.

My journey into photography has been anything but boring. It’s been fun, exciting, and full of surprises—but like any great adventure, it’s also come with its share of trials.
Turning a passion into a career isn’t always smooth sailing. There were late nights learning the ins and outs of editing, moments of self-doubt, and figuring out how to balance the creative side with running a business. Every challenge taught me something new and made me a better photographer.
What’s kept me going is the pure joy of storytelling—whether it’s a wedding, an engagement, a family session, or branding portraits. I love connecting with people and creating something that feels real and true to who they are. Those moments of connection make all the hard work worth it.
Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every step of this path has shaped me into the photographer I am today—grateful for the ups and downs and excited for whatever’s next.

What should you know about me? Well, I’m Cait, a photographer based in Houston, and I specialize in capturing genuine, timeless moments. Weddings are my main focus—I love everything about them, from the emotional first looks to the wild dance floor energy—but I also shoot engagements, portraits, branding sessions, and more. If it’s meaningful to you, I want to be there to document it.
What sets me apart? I’d say it’s my ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera. I know being photographed can feel awkward, but I promise I’ll have you laughing, feeling natural, and maybe even forgetting there’s a camera around. When I think about the future, I’m honestly just excited to keep growing and evolving. I’ve been photographing weddings and portraits for years now, and each step of the journey has taught me so much—not just about photography but about myself and what I want out of this career..
As for big changes, I’m always keeping an open mind. Photography is such a dynamic industry, and I love the idea of adapting as trends shift and my personal style continues to grow. Ultimately, I want to keep connecting with amazing people, telling their stories, and creating work that I’m proud of.
