Hi Chenelle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into entrepreneurship was truly a faith walk. On January 13, 2022, I took a leap of faith and transitioned into full-time entrepreneurship, leaving behind the security of a traditional job. I knew I wanted more—more flexibility, more financial freedom, and most importantly, more impact.
I started Taxpark with a simple mission: to provide expert tax preparation and financial solutions to individuals and businesses nationwide. What started as a small operation has grown into a thriving remote accounting firm, serving over 500 clients across 10+ states.
The road hasn’t always been easy. Entrepreneurship demands discipline, resilience, and unwavering faith. There have been challenges, but each obstacle reinforced my purpose. I’ve learned that success isn’t just about numbers—it’s about the trust and relationships I build with my clients, helping them navigate taxes, bookkeeping, and financial planning with confidence.
Today, I’m proud to lead a firm that not only helps people save money but also educates them on financial literacy. Tax season is a marathon, not a sprint, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk this journey with my clients year after year. God has sustained me and my children through it all, and I’m excited for the continued growth ahead.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not! Entrepreneurship is anything but a smooth road—it’s a constant test of faith, discipline, and resilience.
One of the biggest challenges was stepping into full-time entrepreneurship and realizing that every responsibility falls on me. Unlike a traditional 9-5, there’s no guaranteed paycheck, no set structure, and no one to fall back on when things get tough. If I don’t show up, I don’t get paid. There were moments of uncertainty, slow months, and times when I had to push through even when I didn’t feel like it.
Another challenge was balancing business growth while still maintaining quality service. Tax season is demanding, and as my client base grew, I had to learn how to scale without burning out. That meant implementing systems, streamlining processes, and eventually bringing on additional help to keep up with demand.
Additionally, educating clients about financial literacy has been a challenge. Many people don’t fully understand taxes, bookkeeping, or financial planning, which means I have to be both an accountant and an educator. However, I see this as part of my purpose—to help people take control of their finances and make informed decisions.
Despite the challenges, every setback has been a lesson, and every struggle has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today. God has carried me through it all, and I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.

Success is never a solo journey, and I’m incredibly grateful for the people who have played a role in helping me and Taxpark grow into what it is today.
First and foremost, I give all credit to God. Every opportunity, every client, every lesson—none of it would be possible without His guidance and provision. There were times I wasn’t sure how things would work out, but God always made a way.
My children are also a huge part of my “why.” They are my daily motivation to keep pushing forward, even when things get tough. Knowing that I’m building something that secures their future keeps me going.
