Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Alejos.
Hi Cindy , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Alejos Aesthetics was created from something deeply personal — my dad’s last name. After he passed away, I knew I wanted to keep his name and legacy alive in a way that truly reflected who we were as a family. My dad always said, “It’s an Alejos thing” — meaning, it’s in our blood to work for ourselves, to create something from nothing, and to never give up.
Growing up, my parents started their own small business selling eggs, cheese, chorizo, and crema to help support our family. They made almost everything by hand and went door-to-door at apartment complexes to sell their products — and I was right there beside them, along with my brothers. From a young age, I learned what it meant to work hard, to believe in your craft, and to take pride in what you build.
By middle school, I was the “Candy Girl” — buying candy in bulk from Sam’s Club and reselling it at school. That hustle and drive to create my own opportunities was something my dad always encouraged. He’d remind us often, “Never work for anyone — go figure it out and work for yourself.” That mindset shaped everything I am today.
After high school, I knew I wanted to help people, but I wasn’t sure how. I became a Medical Assistant, but it didn’t feel like my true calling. I later explored modeling and acting, traveling to L.A. for shows and even preparing to compete in Miss Houston. But life had other plans — I became pregnant and had to step away from that path. In 2018, my dad passed away. Then, in 2019, I lost my baby girl, Caroline. Those were the hardest moments of my life, and a long time, February became the month I dreaded most.
Then, in February 2020, God blessed me with my daughter, Bella ( I found out i was pregnant ) — the light that changed everything. I started doing lashes from home on family members, and slowly I realized how much I loved helping people feel beautiful and confident. That love grew into passion, and I decided to enroll in esthetics school. With the help of my small village & my mother of course. I finally graduated Esthetician Schhol.
The day I stepped into my treatment room, I knew — this is what I was meant to do. It all came full circle. I looked up and told my dad and my baby girl in heaven, “This is it. This is my purpose.”
Now, standing inside my very own business, Alejos Aesthetics, I see how every moment — the struggles, the losses, the lessons — led me here. My parents taught me to build from the ground up. My fiancé believed in me when I doubted myself. And now i have my 2 kids, Bella & Maverick & they both remind me every day why I do what I do.
My advice to anyone finding their path: it’s never too late. Don’t rush the process. When you find what you’re truly meant to do, you’ll feel it deep in your heart — just like I did. Alejos Aesthetics isn’t just a business — it’s a reflection of my family, my faith, and my purpose. Everything I do honors the lessons my parents taught me: work hard, trust yourself, and giving up is not an option 💜
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all — it’s been a journey of balance, sacrifice, and growth. One of my biggest struggles has been learning how to pour my heart into my business while still being a full-time mom. There were days I’d come home from work completely exhausted, take just a short break, then jump right into “mom mode” — taking my kids out to have fun, cooking, cleaning, and still trying to find time to grow my business.
It wasn’t easy juggling both worlds. There were moments of doubt, late nights, and days I wondered if I could really do it all. But looking back now, every long night and every tired morning was worth it.
The day I saw “Alejos Aesthetics” on my studio window — my name, my dream, my family’s legacy — I knew it was all coming together and when new clients tell me they found me through someone’s recommendation, it fills my heart. It reminds me that all the hard work, love, and dedication are paying off.
Being a small business owner while raising a family hasn’t been easy, but it’s been the most rewarding journey of my life. 💜
We’ve been impressed with Alejos Aesthetics, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Alejos Aesthetics is more than just a beauty studio — it’s a space built with love, passion, and purpose. I specialize in lash extensions, custom facials, full-body waxing, teeth whitening, tooth gems and skin-brightening services, all focused on helping each client look and feel their absolute best. Every service is tailored to enhance natural beauty while providing a relaxing, confidence-boosting experience.
What truly sets Alejos Aesthetics apart is the personal connection I build with every client. I take pride in creating an environment where my clients feel comfortable, cared for, and understood — not just as customers, but as part of my beauty family. From the moment they walk in, my goal is to make them feel seen, valued, and beautiful inside and out.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the authenticity behind Alejos Aesthetics. My brand carries my family’s legacy and represents the hard work, love, and resilience that built it. Everything — from the soft, elegant colors to the personalized experience — reflects the heart and story behind the name.
I want readers to know that Alejos Aesthetics isn’t just about beauty; it’s about confidence, self-care, and transformation. Whether you come in for lashes, a facial, or a wax, you’ll leave feeling renewed — physically, mentally, and emotionally. 💜
What’s next?
If there’s one thing I’ve learned through this journey, it’s that everything happens in perfect timing. The road wasn’t easy — balancing motherhood, loss, and building a business from the ground up — but it taught me strength, faith, and purpose. I’m excited to continue growing Alejos Aesthetics into a full self-care destination — a place where clients can truly relax, glow, and feel their best. My future plans include expanding into a larger spa space, offering more advanced skin treatments, and eventually building a small team that shares the same passion for beauty and client care.
