Hidden Gems: Meet Cindy Cisneros of Cindy Cisneros LMT

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cindy Cisneros.

Hi Cindy, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I got into massage therapy because of my mom. She found her passion for it while taking care of our elderly neighbor and saw how healing it can be. She signed me up for school during my senior year so after highschool I’d have something to fall back on. But then life happened, I ended up homeless, bouncing between jobs, dealing with shady shop owners and people who didn’t respect me or what I do. It was rough, but I didn’t give up. I kept going, even when it felt like everything was against me. Now I have my own practice, a space that feels safe, where I set the rules, and where I can actually help people the way I’ve always wanted to. It’s taken a lot to get where I am and I’m still learning and growing. But choosing myself? That was the scariest part of it and what changed everything.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Some of the challenges I dealt with along the way felt like they outweighed the benefits. There were a lot of times it’d just be me and the owner taking clients 7 days a week, open to close, just trying to survive. There were days I didn’t know where I was going to sleep or eat. Even getting to work felt like a battle. Once I got there, I’d deal with clients who crossed boundaries, made me uncomfortable, or straight up harassed me. That part was constant. I found myself in a dark place. I remember crying while working someone’s tensions away while carrying so much of my own. I didn’t have time to fall apart. I still had bills to pay. There were days so busy there were no breaks, no lunch, no check on time. I had to deal with that while handling petty bosses, toxic environments, and shady coworkers. Just people that didn’t respect me or the work. No boundaries, no support. I was in survival mode doing a job about healing and peace. But I kept going. That’s what makes having my own space mean so much more.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Cindy Cisneros LMT?
I am a licensed massage therapist and a certified body sculptor, and my work is rooted in technique and intention. I started massage therapy in 2017 and body sculpting two years later. Over time, I’ve blended intuitive and practical knowledge to help relieve pain, tension, and get people to feel more connected to their body. I specialize in deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and relaxation massage. I also offer non invasive body contouring treatments like wood therapy, vacuum therapy, and ultrasonic cavitation. Whether someone is dealing with pain or is looking to shape their body, I tailor each session to what they need. What sets me apart is the space that I’ve created. After everything I’ve been through, it was important to build something safe, supportive, and judgment free. It’s not about the business, it’s about holding space to allow people to pause and reconnect. Doesn’t matter what their issue is, I want them to feel cared for on every level. I’m proud of building my brand on real experiences. It’s not just a business, it’s a reflection of my resilience and wanting to share it with others.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I learned was setting and enforcing boundaries. I let too much slide by because I thought I just had to deal with it, but even then I knew there was more for me out there. When your job is taking care of other people, you learn fast that you can’t do it properly if you’re not taking care of yourself first. Once I truly understood that and started living by it, it made me a stronger healer and more grounded person overall.
