Hi Constanza, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
It all started with a passion for jewelry. As I created pieces for myself, I ended up building an accessories brand that drove me into my career today. I have always been curious and I have always loved learning, and I enrolled at the GIA for a simple Diamonds Essentials in order to know more about the pieces I dreamt about making- drifting away from fashion jewelry.
Diamond Tales became a platform where I started to share everything that I was learning in the course with a voice and language that anyone could understand, even if you did not know anything about jewelry. Being educational and talking about a “taboo” topic, it gained a lot of traction in its first few months back in 2017. I was able to connect with great people in the industry I can call mentors today. While I continued to build and establish my platform, I decided to complete my studies at the Gemological Institute of America to become a Diamond Grader, the perfect credentials for a Private Jeweler. With my years of experience in the industry as a Jewelry Designer, I saw the need in the market for a Private Jeweler in Miami with my profile: a young, female entrepreneur that could offer in-person appointments but also offer the virtual experience to create your very own bespoke piece.
Diamond Tales is now a Luxury Jewelry Shopping Experience and a Private Consultancy Company that believes in the power of a legacy and the beauty of the story that is behind every gem. I offer guidance through curated designs to find the exceptionally-made jewel that adapts to your needs, taste, and budget. Diamond Tales is a collaborative brand that partners up with high-end Jewelry designers to launch exclusive capsule collections.
Today, apart from being a Private Jeweler, I also contribute to sites such as Wedding Forward and The Carat Club for exclusive articles on fine jewelry, diamonds, and engagement rings.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. Being a young, female, entrepreneur in the Diamond and Jewelry industry is something new, and with that comes blocks in the roads for those that have been established forever. This industry is one that celebrates generations of experience, and that is saturated with older jewelers that are mostly men. It has become my goal to prove myself in the industry as a person that you can trust with your eyes closed when designing bespoke pieces such as your engagement ring. It has also become my goal to learn from my mentors and establish business-worthy relationships with vendors and bench jewelers- who are sometimes also skeptical of your potential. It is important to continue to prove yourself every day with honesty and hard work, and it has definitely paid off.

I pride myself in being extremely detail-oriented, which I believe is crucial when creating a product that has such emotional value attached to it.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I am a big podcast listener! How I Built This by Guy Raz is one of my favorite. I also listen to The Skinny Confidential and Life with Marianna for entertainment but also to keep up do date with Social Media trends, entrepreneurship tips, and Marketing information.
It is important to stay relevant, which is why I post every day on Instagram to continue to educate my followers and potential clients. I showcase only a portion of my Ready to Ship items, upcoming and ongoing projects, new services such as repairs that we may offer, behind the scenes, and beautiful diamonds that come across my desk on a daily basis. I have yet to expand to Twitter and TikTok, but those are two goals that I have set for this year.
