Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Rincon.
Hi Daniela, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Right after high school, I found out I was pregnant with my son. At the time, I always knew I wanted to do something in science—I just wasn’t sure if that meant becoming a chemical engineer or majoring in microbiology. I was determined to make it work, so I worked full-time while attending the University of Houston-Downtown. My days started at 6:00 a.m., I’d work until 5:00 p.m., drive straight to campus, and wouldn’t get home until around 10:00 p.m. It wasn’t easy balancing school, work, and raising a baby, and with only six classes left before graduating, I made the difficult decision to step away from college.
In my early twenties, I worked a few different jobs before someone encouraged me to give the mortgage industry a chance as a Loan Officer Assistant. That opportunity completely changed the direction of my life. I spent several years learning every part of the business before taking a leap of faith and earning my Loan Officer license in June 2024.
Those first few months as a Loan Officer were some of the hardest. Building a business from the ground up meant putting myself out there every single day and trusting that the hard work would eventually pay off. Slowly but surely, it did. Today, I have the privilege of helping families achieve homeownership, and I genuinely love what I do.
Looking back, I never could have imagined at 19 years old that this would be where life would take me. Everything I’ve done has been for my son and my family. He’s 17 now, and one of the things I’m most proud of is being able to show him that perseverance, faith, and hard work really can change your life. My journey wasn’t the one I originally planned, but it became exactly the one I was meant to live.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Becoming a young mom taught me responsibility at an early age, but it also meant making sacrifices that were incredibly difficult, including stepping away from college with only six classes left to finish my degree.
Professionally, the biggest challenge has been building a business from scratch in an industry where your reputation is everything. When I became a Loan Officer, I wasn’t handed a book of business. Every relationship, every referral, and every client had to be earned. There were days I questioned myself, wondered if I had made the right decision, and felt the pressure that comes with working in such a competitive industry.
The mortgage world can also be mentally and emotionally demanding. You’re not just working with numbers—you’re helping people through one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. There are highs when you get to hand someone the keys to their first home, but there are also moments of disappointment when things don’t go as planned. Learning how to stay positive through both has been one of the biggest lessons of my career.
Looking back, every challenge taught me something. It made me more resilient, more compassionate, and reminded me that success isn’t about avoiding obstacles—it’s about continuing to move forward despite them. Today, I appreciate every client, every referral, and every opportunity because I know exactly what it took to get here.

Dani The TX Lender is my personal brand, but at the heart of it, my business is about relationships, education, and finding solutions. I believe buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions someone will ever make, and my goal is to make sure my clients never feel like they’re navigating it alone.
I specialize in helping first-time homebuyers, move-up buyers, self-employed borrowers, and clients who may have been told “no” by another lender. Some of my favorite files are the ones that seem impossible because I genuinely enjoy finding creative solutions and helping families achieve homeownership when they thought it wasn’t possible.
What sets me apart is that I take the time to educate my clients. I don’t believe in offering one option and hoping it works. Every borrower has a different story, and I make it a priority to explain their options, answer every question, and create a game plan that fits their goals. Even if someone isn’t ready today, I want them to leave our conversation knowing exactly what steps to take to become a homeowner in the future.
I’m incredibly proud that most of my business comes from referrals. To me, that’s the greatest compliment I could receive because it means people trust me enough to recommend me to their family, friends, and clients. My brand has never been about simply closing loans—it’s about creating lifelong relationships and being someone people can count on long after closing day.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always very focused on school. My mom had high expectations because she knew what I was capable of, so if I came home with a B instead of an A, I was in trouble. At the time, I didn’t always appreciate it, but looking back, it taught me discipline, accountability, and the importance of always giving my best.
As the oldest sister, I naturally took on a lot of responsibility and became a second mom in many ways. While I didn’t grow up with what I considered the ideal family dynamic, those experiences shaped me in the best ways. They taught me resilience and helped me build the kind of family and relationships I always hoped to have.
Personality-wise, I was goofy, loved making people laugh, and enjoyed spending time with my friends. I played volleyball and loved just being a typical teenager. Even then, I had a balance between having fun and staying focused on my goals.
Looking back now, I realize every part of my childhood helped shape the woman I am today. It taught me that hard work, perseverance, and a positive attitude can take you much farther than your circumstances ever could.
