Hidden Gems: Meet Diana Pasasin of Diana’s Craft Box

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Pasasin.

Hi Diana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My crafting business blossomed from a Christmas gift I received from my mom—a Cricut machine. I immediately started making shirts for friends and family from my kitchen. From there, I began expanding and researching different crafting methods, like sublimation prints and print-on-demand designs. Ever since then, I’ve continued exploring new ideas, evolving, and growing within the crafting world and in what I can offer my customers.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not smooth! There were definitely some challenges. I think my biggest challenge then—and still now—has been social media. The goal is to gain more followers by posting new designs and crafting videos to boost engagement, which leads to more orders and ultimately helps grow the business.

You can try recording videos while working on orders, but then comes the editing, posting, and of course—the hardest part—staying consistent. It’s a lot, especially while working full time. On top of that, I’m the one getting the prints, handling the apparel, fulfilling orders, recording content, and promoting everything myself.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I run a crafting business that focuses on apparel and accessories—everything from hoodies and shirts to stickers and bookmarks. I create designs in both English and Spanish to connect with a broader audience.

What sets me apart is that I hand-pick designs that are cute, unique, and funny. One of my favorite compliments is seeing people’s reactions when they see my work—their laughter or facial expressions always make my day.

Some of my current favorite designs are “Even baddies get saddies” and “No me importa.” I also customize just about anything with a surface—though T-shirts are definitely my favorite! I love turning customers’ wild ideas into real designs. At the end of the day, knowing they’re happy with what I created makes me feel like I’ve truly done my job.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t know if it’s been luck, but it’s definitely been hard work. I used to get orders just through word of mouth. Now, I’m attending multiple vendor events around the city and have seen my business grow. I recently opened my own little boutique space inside The Painted Tree at the Cinco Ranch location, which was such a big accomplishment and an important step in getting my brand out there.
