Today we’d like to introduce you to Elle Pierson, RN, MBA.
Hi Elle, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I would have never imagined years ago as a Registered Nurse, I would own and operate a corporate consulting firm helping organizations master the art of service recovery. Surprisingly, healthcare introduced me to a troubled industry with fatal consequences. Because of this – healthcare introduced me to entrepreneurship and my role as a Nursing Leader taught me the business of healthcare.
In my day to day role as a Healthcare Leader, I was a problem solver. I especially loved resolving issues related to patient relations and service recovery. Years later I would learn that less equipped organizations needed help mastering building loyalty with their patients. I was the “woman” for the challenge!
I learned to package my expertise and sell service recovery consulting solutions to healthcare and non-healthcare organizations who desired to have a service recovery expert on their team. Needless to say, I never looked back!
During this moment in history as many have termed, “The Great Resignation” believe me – there’s hope!
If I can take my years of nursing experience and translate that into a successful business model – others can as well.
Alongside of my corporate clientele, I also help burned out healthcare leaders launch healthcare consulting firms. As we attempt to recover from the pandemic – healthcare consultants in all specialties are in demand.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If anyone tells you entrepreneurship is easy – that is false information. Building a business takes a complete shift in your mindset and the ability to develop thick skin quickly.
One of my greatest struggles in business has been removing my “employee mindset” that kept me comfortable and afraid to take the necessary risks to grow my business. I couldn’t market my business playing it safe. I couldn’t negotiate my value playing it safe. I had to become a completely different person.
I no longer operate or make decisions from who I am today. I make decisions from the business owner I desire to be. This has taken work, patience, and time to master – and it’s still an ongoing process.
The Registered Nurse who existed years ago would be incapable of making the type of business decisions I have to make for the business and team. It’s a true journey.

Over the years I’ve learned that sometimes you have to pay to get in the room. I’ve invested heavily in my professional development and it placed me directly in the same environment with entrepreneurs who have made multiple of millions of dollars in their business. Environment is essential to your success.
I’ve also been mentored by the greatest through listening to podcasts, reading my Mentor’s literature, or studying their teachings. Sometimes mentorship does not mean working with someone 1:1, however, it means being a student to the teachings of those you admire.
