The journey has been anything BUT smooth. While content creation is incredibly fulfilling, building and maintaining an audience has its challenges. My follower count has seen its fair share of ebbs and flows—sometimes, it grows, but often it feels stuck in place. This stagnation can be disheartening, especially when you’re putting your heart into every post.
However, I’ve learned that focusing solely on numbers can detract from the joy of creating. I’ve had to remind myself that I didn’t start this journey to chase followers but to share my authentic self and connect with others meaningfully. It’s tough to grow an audience, especially in a space with so much content, but I stay committed to posting what feels true to me rather than what might attract more followers.
This mindset shift hasn’t been easy, but it’s necessary. I’ve had to overcome the temptation to tailor my content to please an algorithm and, instead, focus on what truly matters—quality over quantity, authenticity over trends.
