Today we’d like to introduce you to Erik & Claire Finchler
Hi Erik & Claire, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Claire is originally from Aberdeen, Scotland and Erik is from Long Island, NY. Claire has a business degree from Robert Gordon University and Erik has a Criminal Justice degree from Sam Houston State University. Claire has an extensive background in Oil & Gas whereas Erik’s background is in Credit & Property management. Claire is a former Marathon Runner and has ran many marathons, including the prestigious Boston Marathon. Erik is a two degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do so discipline runs deep. After taking several years off to birth and raise her daughter, Claire decided it was time to come back to the business world, and having bought and sold personal properties in her past, along with her expert knowledge of contracts, real estate was a natural choice. Erik, having been the President of a well known Credit Restoration business in The Woodlands, TX decided he would join Claire and make the shift towards a field he already had an intrinsic knowledge of: Real Estate. They met just over 4 years ago, have two kids, 2 dogs, and have been married for almost 3 years
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
“The reward is the journey”. It has not been a smooth road and still is not, but sanding it down is every day’s goal. Starting a new career in your 40s is never easy. Rebuilding, rebranding, networking for something completely different in a very competitive industry have been just a few of the challenges we face. Hitting the grind from sun up to sun down, while raisint a family and making sure the dogs do not destroy the house is another. We have no support in this time zone. Claire’s family is all in Scotland and Erik’s family is all in New York and Florida, and both are getting up there in years. We are 100% on our own in Texas doing our best to make it
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a Real Estate team that has prided itself on our knowledge, work ethic, communication and our treatment of our friends, whom most people call clients, but we treat every client as if they are our friend. We specialize in Residential & Commercial Real Estate, but we handle any and all types of Real Estate transactions. Our motto is ” exceeding expectations, with every client, every time”. What sets us apart from others is our willingness to do what must be done to get the job finished. Whether that is answering the phone at 9pm at night, helping a client stage their home, physically, or helping their kids at the lemonade stand on a Saturday morning, we want our clients to feel as if they can come to us with anything and they are part of our family. All we ask for is a chance. It is a competitive market out there for every industry and we know if you decide to allow us the opportunity to earn your trust, we will do so and do so proudly, and you will be glad you did!

Any time any one is selling or buying a home, they should, even if they know someone, interview 3 Real estate agents and pick their favorite. We just ask, make us one of those 3. Selling and buying a home is generally the largest financial transaction in someone’s life. You would not get a brain surgery without a second opinion, do not buy/sell without one either! Erik still owns the credit company and still works with realtors, banks, car dealerships, apartment complexes, etc, on helping anyone build their credit to do what they need to do.
