Today we’d like to introduce you to Felicia Austin.
Hi Felicia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
What started off as a childhood dream has blossomed into a Salon Ministry. I opened an intimate Salon space in 2018 to serve my clients on a personal, one on one level after working for an upbeat busy corporate salon as a Master Stylist and Salon Manager. My heart was to really love on my clients and to take my time with them which I was unable to do where I was at. I went off into the booth rental world only to discover that what I was looking for did not exist and that if I wanted to serve my guests on that level then I would have to create the space myself. With and 8 month old, a dream bigger than my bank account and my now husband by my side we were off to the races! I found a beautiful small intimate space and began building the dream, my husband worked tirelessly after long shifts at work remodeling the space and we opened as “Felicia Austin’s House Of Beauty”. I was on my own newfound personal faith journey after the loss of my father and this space began to serve as a space of refuge, prayer and healing not just for myself but for my clients. God has touched many people through my testimony, business and yielded obedience to allow Ministry to flow from the talent he has given me. I rebranded and renamed my business in January 2026 to Salon & Sanctuary to align the vision God had given me for the business, he has since sent me amazing stylists that are passionate about their faith and touching the lives of their guests in ways beyond just the hair. To date we have led over 100 people to Christ and performed over 50 baptisms, we host monthly gathering to serve our guests and community. From prayer meetings, soaking sessions, “tough talks in safe places” and our annual “Women’s Conference” God has showed himself strong and faithful through it all. The miracle was in trusting God with something I never saw done before but I am honored and humbled that he chooses to use me as his, “Faithful Servant”.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Far from smooth, when you own a faith based business you have to live a life of prayer, on your knees before God because logically most of what I was instructed to do made no sense to the carnal mind. There was no business coach that could help me or lead me where God was taking me, It was a huge sacrifice in many ways.

Salon & Sanctuary is a Beauty Salon with the heart posture that “Beauty Comes From The Soul” we serve our guests with exceptional Color, Cuts and styling services. We operate as a safe space for others to come and enjoy a slow down while they get their hair done. Our space is peaceful, uplifting and filled with Women who truly love and support not only our guests but one another. We have a Sanctuary room that we use for One on one prayer and ministry as well as an open door to our guests who need to come during the week for prayer, we keep our hearts and doors open to those we serve.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Making Jesus real to people through simply loving and serving others. Not pretending to be perfect or have it all figured out but serving a God who does.
