Hidden Gems: Meet Holly Tate of The Ready Network

Today we’d like to introduce you to Holly Tate.

Hi Holly, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey has always been fueled by a relentless pursuit of growth, both for myself and the leaders I work with. Born and raised in Nashville, I went to college in NYC before moving to Dallas where I started my career in radio advertising. I then moved to Houston to join the team at Vanderbloemen, an executive search firm, where I spent nearly a decade helping organizations build exceptional teams. That experience gave me a front-row seat to what makes leadership effective and what holds it back.

From there, I joined Leadr, a software company focused on people development, first as SVP of Growth/Chief Marketing Officer and later as Chief Services Officer. I helped build and scale the company’s professional services division, where I saw firsthand how aligning people strategy with business strategy can transform an organization.

Today, I lead my company The Ready Network, a consultancy dedicated to helping leaders and teams get ready for growth. I saw a gap: leaders were expected to perform at high levels without the tools, support, or structure to do so sustainably. That’s where we come in, helping align people, processes, and profits for sustainable growth.

I work with executive teams and leaders who want to break through plateaus, unlock potential, and build cultures where people thrive. Along the way, I have contributed to the Forbes Communications Council, become a certified Working Genius Facilitator, and a keynote speaker. Every step has been about taking risks, embracing change, and finding the growth edge for myself and others.

I also co-founded a podcast called Get Mom Ready with three other moms where we help growth-minded moms stay grounded while they raise their kids. We launched it in September and are having so much fun helping ourselves and other moms stay connected and encouraged to be the best moms we can be. We also provide coaching to moms through our platform.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not smooth, but I’m a firm believer that real growth only happens through discomfort. We live in a world designed to numb that discomfort…scrolling through curated lives, chasing dopamine hits, and avoiding the hard but worthwhile work of becoming who we’re meant to be. When we do that, we rob ourselves—and the people we’re called to serve—of the chance to expand what’s possible.

One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced, and I think many entrepreneurs face, is focus. Today, opportunity is everywhere, and the barrier to entry is lower than ever. You can start a business on Instagram in a day. So the challenge isn’t starting…it’s prioritizing, failing fast, and having the discernment to say no to good ideas so you can say yes to the right ones.

Personally, I’ve had to learn (sometimes the hard way!) that chasing too many ideas at once can keep you from finishing what matters most. I’m naturally wired for vision and ideation, which is a strength, but if I’m not careful, I can get caught chasing squirrels instead of the customers I’m actually called to serve. Staying focused, grounded, and aligned with my deeper “why” has been a daily discipline, and one I’m still practicing.

We’ve been impressed with The Ready Network, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Ready Network exists to help leaders and teams get ready for growth. We do that by aligning people, processes, and profits so that organizations don’t just grow, they grow sustainably. There’s nothing more exciting to our team than seeing our clients get clarity and lead with confidence.

We specialize in executive coaching, strategic advisory, and leadership development, but what we’re really known for is helping high-capacity leaders and their teams plan for strategic growth. Whether it’s culture misalignment, unclear priorities, or leadership burnout, we help uncover the root issues and chart a clear, actionable path forward using The READY Framework.

One of the things I’m most proud of brand-wise is our Ready Certification—a transformational experience that equips leaders with the practical tools and frameworks they need to scale their leadership and impact. It’s more than a training—it’s a mindset shift. Leaders walk away with renewed focus, purpose, and confidence, along with a toolkit to lead their teams more effectively.

What sets us apart is that we don’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions. Everything we do is customized to the leader or team in front of us. We also blend strategy with soul. We care deeply about the people behind the business outcomes. That human-first, clarity-driven approach is why our clients often describe us as the “missing piece” they didn’t realize they needed.

If there’s one thing I want readers to know, it’s this: You don’t have to figure it all out alone. The Ready Network is here to help you get ready for what’s next with clarity, courage, and a plan.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I re-listened to Brene Brown’s book The Gifts of Imperfection a few months ago, and it was just as helpful as ever to be reminded of what it looks like to choose vulnerability.

I also listened to Mel Robbins’ book Let Them recently and found it super helpful to remain focused on what only I can control and not expend unnecessary (and precious!) emotional energy on things outside of our control.

I’m an avid fan of Seth Godin and read his blog daily (I actually had a daily podcast about his daily blog for a few months called SethSaidWhat.com). I appreciate the way he challenges the status quo.

Descript (audio/video editing) and Circleback (AI note taking) have been two new tech tools I use daily, both of which use AI in ways that enable me to have such a lean team. Its hard to imagine doing everything I do without those two tools.
