Today we’d like to introduce you to Imani Murray
Hi Imani, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my career in public relations, thinking that was my path, but life had other plans! While working in PR, I found myself drawn to the energy of events and the creativity of marketing—so I decided to build something of my own. Nearly seven years ago, I launched Leda & Co., initially offering PR services, but as the business grew, I realized our real magic was in crafting unforgettable experiences.
So, we pivoted—ditching PR and going all in on integrated marketing and event production. Now, we bring brands to life in ways that feel fresh, immersive, and deeply connected to their audiences. Think launch events, brand activations, pop-up shops…the list goes on! It’s been a journey filled with risks, lessons, and big wins, but every step has led us to where we are today—creating meaningful experiences that truly make an impact. And honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth? I wish! There have been moments where I questioned everything—times when budgets didn’t budget, when clients weren’t the right fit, or when things didn’t go as planned. And, spoiler alert, that happens more often than most people would think!
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing the creative vision with the business side of things. When you’re passionate about what you do, it’s easy to overextend yourself, say yes to everything, and practically run on fumes. I had to learn how to be just as intentional with my boundaries and pricing as I am with my creative work.
But every challenge has taught me something, and I’ve learned to pivot, refine, and build something even better each time. It’s all part of the process.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Leda & Co. is an event production and integrated marketing agency designed for brands that want to engage their audience in a deeper, more meaningful way. We don’t just produce events—we craft experiences that tell a story, spark connection, and leave a lasting impression.
What sets us apart? Well, we care…deeply. We care about how people feel when they walk into an experience we’ve created. We care about the details, the atmosphere, the energy. And we’re not just about aesthetics; we’re about impact.
One of the many things I’m most proud of is the launch and execution of our brand, The Self Care Lab. We’ve been able to successfully blend self-care, community and in-real-life experiences all with a mission to encourage people to prioritize their mental wellness. The Self Care Lab. has brought over 300 men and women together across different cities for much-needed outings featuring some of their favorite self-care activities.
We pride ourselves on blending creativity with purpose. Whether it’s working with brands that help people feel good or creating activations that bring energy and excitement, everything we do is designed to elevate the experience and the brand. If you’re an entrepreneur, brand or business looking to turn ideas into unforgettable experiences, that’s where we thrive.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Resilience, hands down. Being in the creative and event world means things don’t always go according to plan. But it’s about how you adapt, problem-solve, and keep the energy going. At the end of the day, It’ll work out, most times much better than you imagined!
And of course, passion. You have to love what you do, because that energy is what keeps you going, even when things get tough.
