Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was born and raised in Louisiana. I started doing hair at the age of 16. While doing hair, many of my clients started asking me where I was purchasing my hair. This led me to start my own hair extension company.
In 2016, I decided to attend cosmetology school to increase my knowledge in the beauty field. While in cosmetology school, I started selling Laid Roots – my edge control. This product was a big hit and I even started selling it in beauty supply stores. Selling edge control sparked my interest in starting my own hair care line. In 2020, I expanded my hair care line.
Now, my best-selling products – Polish Up Hair Serum and For The Curls Hair Mousse – have been shipped to Canada, Puerto Rico, Antigua and Barbuda, Ireland, and more.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Expanding my hairline while the pandemic was going on was not a smooth process. Manufacturers were running out of some of the ingredients for my best-selling product, causing me to have to discontinue my main money maker and pivot to new products.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The beauty industry is changing daily, with new and old trends returning.
