Hi Kimario, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Kimario McFadden. I am a former professional athlete. I have 3 years of NFL experience. I started providing Targeted Cryotherapy treatments about 3 years ago. I actually received a cold therapy treatment during offseason NFL training. I was experiencing Achilles Tendinitis during my offseason training. My Achilles was extremely sore and tender to the touch which gave me a slight limp. I received a 2 minute treatment of Targeted Cryotherapy and returned to training the following day with no issues. Once I received that treatment I knew exactly what I wanted to do after my football journey was over. This was the birth of Chilly Mac. Now Chilly Mac is the #1 Cryotherapy service provider in the Houston area. We specialize in mobile service in which we travel to you for treatment sessions. We have serviced a variety of athletes from the high school level all the way to the pros. Our Houston Texans clients include Tytus Howard, Laremy Tunsil and Tank Dell. We have also serviced additional elite athletes such as Tyreek Hill (NFL) and Cheyenne Parker-Tyus (WNBA).
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
This journey has not been a smooth road by any means. The treatments that we provide are relatively new to the recovery world. This draws quite a bit of skepticism. Just like my journey to the NFL, it has taken an abundance of sacrifice to get to where I am today. Late nights and early mornings have been a huge part of the success of Chilly Mac. There are going to be many people who do not believe in you. There have been a lot of no’s but that never stopped me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Chilly Mac provides Targeted Cryotherapy treatments. Targeted Cryotherapy is used for pain management. We also use cryotherapy for aesthetics as well. These aesthetics include cold facials and body contouring slimming sessions. Our treatments are also used for skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema and acne. The body contouring cellulite reduction treatments are very popular amongst our women. Brand wise we are most proud of the ability to provide service to everyone. Pain does not discriminate against any age, sex, race or religious preference. Cryotherapy is beneficial to everyone.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I have to give a lot of credit to my mentor Travis Smith. His company is ATL Chill and he actually provided me with a mobile service session a few years ago. This actually sparked the beginning of Chilly Mac. He helped me to experience the power of Targeted Cryotherapy. He has provided me with a blueprint to be successful in my own respect. Another gentleman that I must give thanks, Antonio Hamilton Sr. Antonio is a professional football player who currently plays with the Atlanta Falcons. He was my first client to receive a treatment. After I worked on him the company just continued to grow in the professional athlete space. Now I work with many of the NFL athletes on a weekly basis. One last shoutout to Joe Thomas Jr. He also is a former NFL linebacker who has helped me to grow the company with continued support and referrals.
