Hidden Gems: Meet Kristin Ehrlich of In Full Bloom Home Staging and Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Ehrlich.

Hi Kristin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
It is actually very timely to tell my story as we move into 2023 and we talk about new beginnings and accomplishing goals. My story is somewhat of a New Year’s Resolution that has been in the making since 2008. Yes, I just said 2008. That was the year I first began considering making my love for home design and decorating more than a past-time and something I loved doing for my friends and family and becoming a Professional Home Stager. Let’s just say life got in the way. But not in 2023. Out of the gate I am now an ACCREDITED STAGING PROFESSIONAL thanks to my new friends at Stagedhomes.com® (shout out to the amazing and talented instructor Mary Scalli, Owner/President of Simple Elegance to whom I will always be grateful that God put in my path), and I am ready! I have officially brought IN FULL BLOOM HOME STAGING AND DESIGN from residing in my head and my heart to life, and I could not be more thrilled.

I hope that my story will inspire and encourage your readers that it is NEVER too late to leverage your talents and creativity and do what you are passionate about. As Mary reminded me, Julia Child was 51 when she started filming her cooking show. I am going to make my 51 a start to my legend as well….just be glad that I’m Staging your kitchen and not cooking in your kitchen.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
While I joke about my long journey to get to this place, I absolutely know that every opportunity I have been blessed with and every mentor I’ve had along the way has prepared me for this. Timing is everything, and the amount of experience I have been afforded has given me the tools to be successful. I have had the pleasure to work for large global organizations for 25 years.

During this time, I have proven to be highly effective in leading teams, developing and sustaining strong partnerships, and exceeding client expectations. Part of this is from my knowledge and responsiveness, but I have been told it’s my authenticity and caring nature that has truly been my differentiator. Dubbed “Boss Lady” by some special former employees and as a Corporate Executive, I certainly possess business acumen. Now that I have taken my design pastime to a formal accreditation, I am fully equipped and confident that IN FULL BLOOM HOME STAGING AND DESIGN will blossom – pun intended.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about In Full Bloom Home Staging and Design?
Our Mission was formed from our belief that every home is unique and beautiful. We use the sunflower to illustrate this. Really, is there anything more beautiful than when a (insert your favorite flower here….ours is the Sunflower) is in full bloom? That really is how we look at a home that is getting ready to go on the market. Whether the home is occupied or vacant, we work to make sure that the home is at its most exquisite stage and appeals to lots of potential buyers, resulting in maximum profit for our clients in the shortest amount of time. We do this by focusing on decluttering and depersonalizing the home, and we utilize either existing or rented furnishings, artwork, and accessories that help buyers gain an emotional connection with the house so that it just may become their perfect home. We also stage short-term rental properties, so not only do we get to select furniture, art, and accessories, we can stock the entire home with all the kitchen and living essentials for the tenants.

As it goes on a certain HGTV show, sometimes we don’t want to “list it”, we want to “love it”. That’s fun for us too, we get to help our clients reimagine and redesign their existing space with our design services. We help homeowners find more comfort and enjoyment in their homes, where we hope we can help them foster great memories with their families and friends.

Our design style is more safe than over-the-top. We love a pretty space and one that promotes a welcoming and comforting feel. We might be described as Transitional as we do love a classic look, but we also like to weave in a bit of modern functionality.

I have two special superpowers that I believe differentiate us from others. The first is my ability to source design elements that do not break the bank. I like to remind my husband that my shopping prowess saves us money, he should be so lucky. But in all seriousness, I fully believe that you can design any space to be beautiful and it does not always require a hefty price tag to do so, it does however require a good eye for style. My second known superpower is my mad multi-tasking skills, which my husband has decided that my tombstone shall read: a loving wife, adoring mother, and world-champion multi-tasker. What my husband wants your readers to know here is, they are in good hands with both their staging investment and their timeline when they work with my company.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The lesson I am still learning is to give myself grace. We live in a world of who is at the top of the Google search engine and who has the highest star ratings and how many reviews they have. It’s about likes and followers and it can be exhausting. I don’t blame anyone, I’m the same type of consumer. I have had to really fight to not get discouraged by the voice in my head that wants to remind me that I’m not good enough because I don’t have 1.4k followers (yet) on any said social media platform.

It takes an intentional approach to not get caught up in the popularity contest and remember to focus one day at a time and to count your own blessings, after all, blessings have much more power than likes. By the way, please follow us on Facebook @infullbloomhomestaginganddesign and Instagram @helloinfullbloom. See how I did that?
