Hi Lana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Lana Sims is a real estate broker, educator, speaker, and business leader who has built her career on a passion for helping both homeowners and real estate professionals achieve extraordinary results.
A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Lana earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate in 2010 and immediately launched a career defined by exceptional performance. She sold 52 homes in her first year in real estate and followed that with 102 homes in her second year, quickly establishing herself as one of the top-performing agents in her market. By her third year, she was already coaching and mentoring agents within the Keller Williams organization, sharing the systems and strategies that fueled her early success.
Over the years, Lana developed a niche in distressed real estate, becoming a trusted authority in short sales, foreclosures, probate, estate sales, divorce, and other complex transactions. She has since guided hundreds of homeowners through challenging situations, helping them protect their financial future while navigating some of life’s most difficult circumstances.
In 2019, Lana earned her Texas Broker License, and in 2020, she founded Inked Real Estate, a brokerage built around education, innovation, and putting people first. Under her leadership, Inked Real Estate experienced remarkable growth, doubling its profitability year after year while cultivating a culture centered on agent success and exceptional client service.
Recognizing her leadership and proven ability to build successful organizations, Lana accepted the role of Greater Houston Broker for All City Real Estate in 2024. In this position, she focuses on recruiting, developing, and mentoring agents while continuing to expand one of the fastest-growing brokerages in Texas.
Beyond brokerage leadership, Lana is a sought-after educator and speaker who regularly teaches classes, hosts masterminds, and coaches agents on pricing strategies, CMAs, lead generation, business planning, distressed real estate, and navigating today’s changing market. Her practical, no-nonsense approach has helped countless agents grow profitable businesses while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and service.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not, walking into a distressed market where the average DOM was over 300+, I spent my time learning and networking to know what worked in a shifting market. I have technically started my business over 5 times since 2010 and always working on getting stronger each time. I have built multiple teams; been with multiple brokerages and held multiple titles; however, I am the foundation of my success; no one else.

I currently serve as the Greater Houston Broker for All City Real Estate while also leading my own brokerage, Inked Real Estate. My career has been built on two passions—serving homeowners through some of the most challenging seasons of their lives and helping real estate agents build businesses they never thought possible.
I’m best known for my expertise in distressed real estate. Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of homeowners navigate short sales, foreclosure alternatives, probate, estate sales, divorce-related transactions, and other complex situations. These transactions require more than real estate knowledge—they require compassion, creativity, and the ability to negotiate solutions that protect families and their financial futures. That’s where I thrive.
I’m also passionate about education. I believe our industry is better when agents are better equipped to serve their clients. Whether I’m teaching classes, speaking at events, hosting masterminds, or mentoring one-on-one, my goal is to simplify complex topics and provide practical strategies that agents can immediately implement to grow their businesses with confidence.
What truly sets me apart is that I don’t believe in transactional real estate. Every client and every agent has a unique story, and I approach each relationship with a long-term mindset. My focus isn’t simply on closing deals—it’s on creating lasting relationships, solving difficult problems, and helping people achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that my name has become synonymous with education, integrity, and leadership. Through Inked Real Estate and All City Real Estate, I’ve worked to build communities where collaboration is valued over competition and where agents feel genuinely supported in both their business and personal growth.
Whether I’m helping a homeowner avoid foreclosure, coaching an agent to their first six-figure year, or leading one of the largest brokerages in the Houston area, I want people to know they’ll receive honesty, expertise, and someone who will advocate for them every step of the way. My greatest accomplishment isn’t measured by transactions or awards—it’s measured by the lives I’ve been fortunate enough to impact along the way.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My father first and foremost; he grew me from an early age on and has pushed me, mentored me, and been my greatest supporter for my career growth. My very first Real Estate Coach, Mike Kranz, he taught me very essential lessons within my first 3 years of real estate that I still use today. My agents throughout the years and have been blessed to be around over 1000 agents plus that have been a supporter and advocate of mine. And now, of course, the leadership team at All City Real Estate – I am so honored to be around all these great leaders and be able to grow from them!
