Hidden Gems: Meet Lauren Rowley of Bella Hue

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Rowley.

Hi Lauren, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started Bella Hue after being a stylist for over 16 years and struggling with severe allergies to many of the ingredients found in traditional hair care products. In pursuit of salon-quality hair care that was up to the standards, I was accustomed to using I went on a mission to create good, clean hair care that not only worked better, but was better for you too.

After six months of trial and error, I came up with our first product, Cleaner-than-clean dry shampoo. Once COVID hit, I had to make the decision for my health to officially step back from working behind the chair. I launched this business on June 3rd, 2021 and haven’t looked back since. Thanks to so many amazing and supportive women, we have shipped thousands of orders all over the world!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Work life/Family life balance has been hard. When you own your own business you never really get a day off! But I’m grateful to be busy and have a job I love.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Every product we make is handmade in small batches only using the finest organic ingredients. It’s our mission to provide real women, salon-quality haircare that they can always count on!

What does success mean to you?
Success to me is being able to look myself in the mirror at the end of day and being able to say I’m proud of what I/ my business stands for.
