Hi LFrambue, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello! I introduce myself, I am Cecilia Vázquez from Nuevo León México and work as a face painter in Baytown Tx artistically known as @Lframbue. It is an honor to be updated since the first interview I had since 2019 when I just started and how blessed I have been these years, I have grown a lot since then, I tell you that everything was going well in 2019 but I stopped working in 2020 because The forced quarantine, I was very discouraged by not working and after so much thinking about what to do, I looked for a way to prepare myself professionally in the art of facepaint to give my best qualities and service to offer with quality and originality. Taking workshops with teachers from Chile, Mexico, Peru, Argentina etc. all virtual but even so my performance was so much that now I can offer personalized designs for each event that is unique.
In 2021 I returned with everything starting from zero in earnings since I went to events where I only charged x tips to put into practice what I had learned in the workshops and upload content to my networks, (now I have income thank God that it was accommodated everything and for everyone) then I started with tiktok-Facebook and Instagram, and I’m still at it, teaching step by step to create face painting, so I also contribute to the girls who are also dedicated to the business and who can find motivation and confidence in me to practice. together designs. One of my most unattainable dreams I had was to create my own facepaint makeup brand. And in 2022 I was able to realize that dream. I released my first collection which I named #LFRAMBUEAQUACOLORS (with the help of face painting colleagues who advised me on some combinations and the name that sounded best that helped me decide, I am grateful to them who have supported me since I met them in Facebook groups, in workshops and other girls as followers in my lives) in fact my first collection was a success that I sold out in two months!!
My makeup has reached Mexico, Canada, the Cayman Islands, and of course right here in the USA, it went well for me because last year I released my second collection #LFRAMBUEAQUACOLORSvol2, they are limited and I have very few left. And I don’t think I will get any more, since my purpose of my dream has already been fulfilled, thank God, and I am seeing what else I would like to undertake since I am always looking for ways to grow as a business, as an artist and as a person. Oh and also in that year (2022) I started designing and selling my own line of stencils. #LFRAMBUESTENCILS.
By the way, I only design according to the theme that I need, I am not 100% dedicated, but when I make a stencil for an event, I add it to my catalog that I have an audience on Pinterest and that’s how I sell them since designing takes time and I always have my time very busy. I have also attended conventions that last 5 days away from home, I like it because it is like a vacation where you learn and meet such talented artists where we feed off each other and living the experience is what I love. This year 2024, God first, I will go to my first convention outside the USA, it will be in CDMX since as an artist you never stop creating, learning and we have to be updated on new trends, the beautiful thing is that you always learn something new! Well, on the other hand, my children continue working with me as they have since they were children, it has been 5 years since I started, they are now teenagers. The oldest (José Jr, 15 years old) is excellent at face painting, the second (Cristóbal, 13 years old) is wonderful at balloon twister and my youngest girl (Bárbara, 11 years old) is great at glitter tattoo, she loves it. We have grown together as a family business.
I also tell you that I know how to use the face painting airbrush and it is waterproof, which is the trend in summer since the heat in Houston is strong and I like to offer it in summer so they pay with more pleasure and in winter time or indoor events, well It is where I use my professional facepaint brand (LFRAMBUEAQUACOLORS). They are rainbow palettes that are handled and pigmented very well and easily. They are also activated with UV light. They are also sold to people who are not in the business, since there are mothers who She likes to do her children’s makeup every day like I did before starting a business, so it is within reach for them along with the stencils.☺️
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My path has not been very easy in the way that I do not speak perfect English but still I have achieved many things with my intermediate English. I have taken classes but I feel like I need to practice and sometimes I think that I also like to speak in Spanish to reach my Hispanic audience and clients.

I am a professional face painter, I offer waterproof facepaint service with a brush or airbrush. (Summer season) and water base my makeup brand #lframbueaquacolors (winter season or indoor events) Balloon art with my son Cristóbal. I have as a service to add with extra cost. Another facepainter (my son José jr) and glitter tattoo (my daughter Barbara).
The service contract includes a face painting design personalized to the theme of the party or with logos on personalized stencils for the business events of those who hire me and that gives the touch to my designs and my clients are satisfied with the designs created for your public or private events.
I also give the party a gift to choose from either a 2×3 photograph printed on a portrait holder with a magnet or if it is a girl, some colored pigtails added to their hairstyles. On my social networks I have makeup sales from my brand and stencils as well. The purchase is made directly with me through my networks or directly to my cell phone.
