Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Ramirez.
Hi Linda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in 2004 as a licensed cosmetologist right after graduating high school. Coming from a family of barbers and entrepreneurs, I was raised around hard work, customer service, and the importance of building relationships within the community. For many years, I focused on the beauty industry and helping people feel confident in themselves.
When COVID happened, it really changed my perspective on life and stability. I began thinking not only about my future, but also about how I could make a bigger impact in the lives of families around me. During that time, my eldest cousin, Manny Ortuno Jr., encouraged me to pursue my Life and Health Insurance license. That decision completely changed the direction of my career.
Today, I help individuals, families, and business owners find health coverage, life insurance, retirement solutions, and financial protection that fit their needs. My goal has always been to educate, guide, and genuinely help people make informed decisions that can change their future for the better. Everything I’ve built has come from staying consistent, continuing to learn, and always putting people first.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Like any entrepreneur, I’ve faced challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty. Transitioning from one industry into another was not easy, especially while trying to build credibility and learn an entirely new field. There were times when I doubted myself, but I never allowed those moments to stop me.
One thing about me is that I push myself every single day to grow, improve, and continue becoming the best version of myself. I truly believe challenges build strength, wisdom, and character. Every obstacle I’ve faced has helped shape the way I serve my clients and community today. Those experiences taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of staying focused on your purpose.
As you know, we’re big fans of Best Financial Partners LLC/ Best Health Insurance Houston. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I specialize in helping individuals, families, and business owners with Life & Health Insurance, Medicare, Marketplace insurance, retirement strategies, tax-saving solutions, and financial protection planning. What I enjoy most about my work is being able to educate people and simplify information that can often feel overwhelming.
What sets me apart is that I genuinely care about the people I work with. I don’t believe in simply selling a product — I believe in building relationships and finding solutions that truly benefit each client’s situation. I take pride in being honest, accessible, and someone my clients can trust.
I’m especially passionate about helping underserved communities better understand their options and prepare for the future. Many families simply need someone willing to take the time to explain things properly and guide them in the right direction.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of building something rooted in trust, consistency, and community impact. I want readers to know that my mission goes beyond business. I want to help people create security, build generational wealth, and feel confident about their future.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice would be to stay consistent, even when things feel slow or difficult. Success doesn’t happen overnight, and there will be moments where you question yourself. Don’t allow temporary setbacks to make you give up on long-term goals.
I also wish I knew earlier how important networking, mentorship, and personal growth truly are. The people you surround yourself with matter. Never stop learning, stay humble, and be willing to adapt.
Most importantly, believe in yourself before anyone else does. Sometimes your vision won’t make sense to everyone around you, but if you stay focused, disciplined, and committed, everything will eventually align.
Last but not least, always trust God and keep praying through every season of your journey. There were many moments where faith carried me when things felt uncertain, and I truly believe prayer, perseverance, and purpose go hand in hand.
