Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Conerly.
Hi Matthew, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Back in 2001 my wife, Camilla & I came to Houston, Texas on a turnaround trip. I was coming to interview for an offshore job. We had some relatives here that suggested we stay 2 weeks. Although I didn’t get the offshore job, I was able to get on a 2 week ticket with Labor Ready. We ultimately made another turnaround trip & went back to Mississippi got our things and have been here ever since.
We both sought out to gain wisdom, knowledge, a good church home and get educated. My wife got on with a phenomenal hospital in the medical center and went back to school to acquire a masters degree in Healthcare Administration. Our family began to grow. We have 2 great sons, Malachi & Albert.
I was hired on with the Plumbers Local 68, worked as an apprentice for 5 years, acquired an Associates Degree in Construction Management while working as an apprentice. I also acquired my Journeyman license, Masters license, gained a Med Gas Certification, completed
the apprenticeship program and later accomplished my goal of acquiring my Responsible Masters, RMP license which is required to run a plumbing company. I continued to gain experience & knowledge in the commercial & residential service of plumbing. All the experience, wisdom, and hard work lead me to this point.
My wife, Camilla is the owner of U Got Flow Plumbing and I hold the license for our company. We are entering our 4th year in business. We have been able to sustain our business on integrity, fair pricing, word of mouth and operate as a debt free company. We are a five star rated company based on google reviews and number 10 in top rated for water heater installations, which is one of our specialties.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part, it has been smooth but we have had to learn things through trial and error. We did a lot of research and development, before taking this step. We knew there would be challenges and how we responded would determine the outcome.
In the challenging times, our faith, integrity and experience helped us hold fast and continue to press on. Over the course of these years we have built relationships and networks with reputable people who operate in integrity. These are the same people who believed in us before we started this company. They encourage us with wise counsel during challenging times.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a plumbing company, residential only. We specialize in water heater installation, water softener installation, all residential plumbing repairs, such as toilet rebuilds, & repair, faucet repairs, shower repair, whole house repipes, sewer line repairs, and tunneling, etc.
What sets us apart from others is fair pricing, integrity and efficiency. Most of all, we will not up sale our customers.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Building confidence in your customers. We know what it takes to provide excellent customer service and if we can’t do the job we don’t have a problem referring you to someone who can.
