Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After receiving my BBA, I got married and have been a stay-at-home mom to 4 kids for the last 12 years! I knew I always wanted to start my own business one day when the kids got older just didn’t know what. I have lived and breathed all things beauty, fitness, and fashion from a young age.
My inspiration for this unique beauty boutique stemmed from a trip to Nashville where I was blown away by the trendy, fun and upscale shopping experiences there. The need for a brick and mortar upscale shopping experience along with my passion for beauty and fashion motivated me to bring a little piece of that Nashville vibe to my hometown.
While in Nashville, I had my second piercing hole done at a luxury Piercing Boutique, it was such a great experience and I was educated on the dos and don’ts of ear piercing. It made me think there is nothing like that around my town! But yet so many people are trending to ear curation looks. When I got home from this trip, I started brainstorming and found the top piercing school in the country in New Hampshire, found the space I wanted for the store front, and was on my way to bringing this “Beauty Bar” concept of mine to life.
This all stemmed from this past March 2022 and fast forward to November 2022 I was opening my doors to this concept! I secured my space, designed and executed it, flew to New Hampshire and became professionally trained and certified for ear piercing the proper and safe way, and attended markets to hand pick quality jewelry and athleisure wear.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle surprisingly was trying to find info and training on the ear piercing aspect! I reached out to multiple local people at tattoo shops and a few other piercers with absolutely zero help! Come to find out you don’t have any certification to do ear piercing in the state of Texas! But I wanted to learn the proper way and be professionally certified. I finally found an “ears only” course that was extremely thorough and it ended up being one of the top piercing schools in the country! Off I flew to New Hampshire for my certification!

We make sure every client has a personalized piercing experience. What’s next?
My plans for the future are to really grow the piercing aspect of MW, I truly enjoy being able to give someone their first piercing experience all the way up to curating a full on ear with fun and creative placements that they will have forever. It is such a unique model I am aiming to grow into something to stick out from the rest! My goal is to ultimately have my own jewelry line and to exclusively sell and pierce with it!
