Today we’d like to introduce you to Moe Farhat.
Hi Moe, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a software engineer by background, and my education played a big role in how I think and work. I earned a Master’s in Software Engineering and later an MBA from the University of Houston, which gave me a strong mix of technical and business perspective.
I started in web design and development by taking on real projects and learning through experience. Over time, I built Webinopoly in Houston and focused on helping businesses create better websites and grow online. In the early days, I was doing everything myself — design, development, client communication, troubleshooting, and project management. It was a lot, but it gave me a strong foundation and helped me understand what clients actually need, not just what sounds good in theory.
As the business grew, we became known for Shopify design and development, which opened the door to working with a wide range of clients — from small businesses launching their first store to larger brands that needed custom development, integrations, and long-term support. That also led us into building Shopify apps and custom solutions, which pushed us further into product development and systems thinking.
Getting to where I am today has really been about consistency, adapting, and staying focused through the ups and downs. There were definitely challenges along the way, but each one taught me something important about business, leadership, and resilience.
Today, I’m still focused on building and solving problems — whether that’s through Webinopoly, software products, or other ventures. I enjoy creating practical solutions that help businesses grow.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road.
Like most businesses, especially service businesses, there were a lot of ups and downs. In the beginning, one of the biggest challenges was simply doing everything myself — sales, design, development, client communication, project management, and problem-solving. That teaches you a lot, but it can also burn you out if you’re not careful.
As we grew, the challenges changed. It became less about “Can I do the work?” and more about scaling the team, building the right processes, managing cash flow, and making sure quality stayed high as project volume increased. Hiring the right people and keeping everyone aligned is a constant learning process.
Another challenge is that the digital and eCommerce space changes fast. Platforms evolve, client expectations increase, ad costs go up, and the market shifts. There have been times where things were growing quickly, and other times where we had to adapt and rethink our approach completely.
I’ve also learned that entrepreneurship comes with pressure people don’t always see — making payroll, handling difficult client situations, and making decisions when there’s no perfect answer. Those moments are tough, but they’ve probably taught me the most.
So no, it hasn’t been a smooth road — but honestly, I think that’s part of the journey. The struggles helped me become more resilient, more disciplined, and better at leading through uncertainty.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My main business is Webinopoly, a Houston-based web design and development company, and we’re best known for our work in Shopify design, development, and custom solutions.
At a high level, we help businesses build, improve, and scale their online presence — whether that means designing a new eCommerce store, rebuilding an existing site, developing custom features, integrating third-party systems, or creating private apps and tools that solve specific operational problems.
Over the years, we’ve worked with a wide range of clients — from startups and small business owners to larger brands that need more complex development support. What we’ve become known for is not just making sites look good, but building solutions that actually work for the business and support growth.
I think what sets us apart is that we’re very hands-on and practical. We don’t just approach projects from a design angle or a coding angle — we look at the full picture: user experience, operations, conversions, scalability, and long-term maintenance. A lot of agencies can do one piece well. We’ve built our reputation by being able to connect all the pieces.
Another thing that makes us different is experience. We’ve been doing this for a long time, and that matters. We’ve seen trends come and go, platform changes, algorithm shifts, and all kinds of business challenges. That experience helps us guide clients more honestly and make better decisions for them.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the trust we’ve built. A lot of our growth has come from referrals, repeat clients, and long-term relationships. To me, that says more than anything. It means people feel like we care, we show up, and we deliver.
What I’d want readers to know is that Webinopoly is not just a “website company.” We’re a problem-solving partner for businesses that want to grow online — especially in eCommerce — and we care a lot about building solutions that are both high quality and practical in the real world.
What are your plans for the future?
In the future, I’m focused on growing in two directions at the same time: strengthening Webinopoly’s core services and building more AI-powered tools and products.
On the Webinopoly side, we’re continuing to grow as a long-term partner for brands — not just building a website and walking away. We want to keep improving what we’re known for: Shopify design, development, custom functionality, and conversion-focused improvements, but with even better systems, communication, and ongoing support.
At the same time, I’m very excited about the AI side of what we’re building. Over the years, we’ve built custom apps and tools for clients, and now we’re putting a bigger focus on AI-powered solutions that help businesses save time, automate tasks, make better decisions, and operate more efficiently. A lot of what we’re working on is centered around practical AI — not just hype — tools that actually solve real business problems.
I’m looking forward to building more software products that combine our experience in eCommerce, development, and operations with AI in a way that creates real value for clients and can scale beyond one project at a time.
So the big direction for us is clear: stronger systems, deeper client partnerships, and more AI-driven tools/products that help businesses grow smarter and faster.
