Today we’d like to introduce you to Paige Baker.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my Real Estate career with forming The Baker Team with my Mother, Julie Baker, in 2018. Forming a Mother-Daughter team has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Being able to build an empire and create life lasting memories with my Mother has been amazing.
In July of 2020, I was named as one of the 40 Under 40 Agents by Houston Real Producers. Being able to share the cover with so many other young Real Estate professionals making huge impacts on this Industry was such an honor.
Throughout the years, I have come to love working with Buyers and especially First Time Home Buyers. Being able to make dreams a reality and help people discover that what they once thought was impossible is now possible. Connecting our clients with our Lender Partners, who have a plethora of amazing programs, has been a huge factor to our success. The key to success in this Industry will always be relationships.
I love sharing tips on my Social Media for future Buyers so that they can prepare themselves to be the most competitive and prepared whenever it is their time to purchase a home. We want people to feel confident when working with us that we have the knowledge and experience to guide them throughout the process and have their best intentions in mind.
Social Media has played a key factor in my career. Over the years I have built so many amazing relationships with Agents in my city and also all across the country and even a little bit into Canada. Social Media has given me a platform to build my brand and share my message to so many others. It has opened the door to so many amazing opportunities.
Words can not express how blessed I feel to be able to do all of this on a daily basis and help so many people achieve their dreams.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Throughout my career, there have definitely been some bumps in the road. The major one that I know so many others struggle from is a work-life balance. Being an Entrepreneur it is so easy to never really “turn off” at the end of the night. Since there is really no glass ceiling to this career, you really get out of it what you put into it.
I always have to remind myself to block some time out of everyday to do something for myself that benefits me in some way. This could be working out, reading a book or simply just sitting still and letting your mind relax.
Focussing on yourself can feel selfish at times and I know I personally sometimes feel guilty if I even go on a weekend getaway instead of diving into work, but relaxation is so incredibly important. If you burn out, then you won’t be giving your best self to your family, friends and clients.
You deserve to make time for yourself.

The Baker Team officially formed in 2018 and it has been so amazing to get to build this career alongside my Mother. Since day 1, we have always based our business on relationships. Having connections with other Real Estate professionals in Lending, Title, Inspections and even Roofers and Contractors has played such a key role to our success. We pride ourselves on being connectors for our clients whenever a need comes up.
In July of 2021, we added a third member to The Baker Team, Tony Mendez. It has been so wonderful to be able to help guide him throughout his Real Estate career and see him grow. He is such an asset to not only our Team, but also to this Industry.
As a Team, we focus heavily on our Social Media presence and strive to educate and entertain future potential clients. We want our clients to always stand out amongst the crowd when either their Listing goes live on the Market or their offer gets submitted on a home. We want others to know that those being represented by The Baker Team will be strong in the Housing Market.
I am so excited to see where this Industry takes The Baker Team and what amazing opportunities lie ahead for us.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always the kid that was super shy until I got to know you and then I would open up. Now as an adult, I walk into a room with confidence and will start up a conversation with just about anyone. When you find your niche and home in this world and finally feel accepted you really can blossom as a person.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved to help others and this has now come to fruition in my Real Estate career as well. If I ever saw a kid struggling with classwork, couldn’t reach something, was being bullied, I would jump in and help and be their advocate.
I have always wanted people to feel at home when they’re in my presence. Like I’m a safe haven. We always want our clients to feel this way about us too.
