Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert McCullough.
Hi Robert, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was a lost Fisheries Science Major wanting to become a pro Bass Fisherman when i had a life changing experience with Jesus Christ.. became a Pastor in a mid sized Oregon city. Then 2017 was offered to take over a church in Houston TX that i had never seen. Hurricane Harvey was our welcome party.. Going in faith we have now been here 8 years and continue to serve SE Houston and proclaim the Gospel to all who will hear.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Went from city of 80k to Houston! Major culture shock with pace and traffic and crime here. The weather always has wonderful surprises. Hurricanes are wild! Then the racial tensions here are quite shocking… very new experince for us.

We preach the Bible …. Mission to save sinners, raise up disciples of Jesus Christ and then plant new churches from our congregation.
