Hi Shanice, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Houston, and I always loved watching sports. As I got older, I knew that I wanted to work in sports and entertainment, but finding a role in those industries is not always the easiest. So, I created The Blitz Goddess which actually started off as an apparel line. After some thought, and with disappointing sales, I decided to pivot and create a podcast in which I discuss hot topics in sports and also bring on women in the industry to share their story and to give insight about certain topics.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, not at all, but that is what to expect with being an entrepreneur. You are literally learning as you go. As I stated, we started off as an apparel brand, but with the sales not reaching the desired revenue, we took the revenue out of it and pivoted to a podcast and to the focus on doing something that I enjoy.

The Blitz Goddess is a sports empowerment brand whose mission is to motivate and be a resource to women looking to break into the sports and entertainment industry. What sets us apart is our authenticity; we are doing this not for the money but for the enjoyment. Our podcast releases an episode every other week and can be listened to on Apple Podcast and Spotify.
