Sharron, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I am currently married and a mother of 4 children. I have two boys and two girls.
My journey in the wedding and party industry began with a sweet start, baking wedding cakes. With each cake crafted and every event planned, I found myself drawn deeper into the world of weddings and parties, where creativity knows no bounds.
I began selling party decor online and eventually expanded to wedding & party rentals.
Ultimately, we aim to establish a dual-purpose venue offering event planning services alongside community-focused initiatives such as educational classes on finance, mental health, and providing support for the homeless and disadvantaged populations, fostering a stronger, more inclusive community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any other small business, we have experienced challenges along the way. One particular issue we faced in the past has been other sellers / businesses copying our listings and products causing confusion with potential customers. Currently, our biggest obstacle is establishing a strong online presence that sets us apart from our competitors. As a small business, we recognize the importance of having a robust online presence to reach a wider audience and attract new clients. As you can expect, the market is always evolving, as well as trends.

Ava’s Wedding And Party Decor is a company that specializes in providing exceptional wedding and party decorations. Our mission is to offer high-quality decor at affordable prices, making every event unforgettable. We offer a wide range of options, including beautiful bouquets, exquisite custom floral designs, captivating table decor, and stylish party rentals. Whether it’s a wedding or any other celebration, our goal is to create stunning atmospheres that leave a lasting impression. Despite being a new business, we are committed to delivering excellence and ensuring our customers receive the best value for their money.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The love and support of my friends and family has been immeasurable. My husband (John Lopez) is my biggest cheerleader and helper. In the beginning, he was there assisting in the creation and delivery of wedding cakes. Currently, He’s there now packing sold goods, creating custom designs and helping setup for events.
