Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylar Willis
Hi Taylar, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always loved photography! When I was in high school, I would walk around with a digital camera taking pictures of my friends. Fast forward 10 years later, I find myself jobless due to the pandemic. One day I had a job, the next day I didn’t. I told myself in that moment, that I wanted something that was mine & mine only. So I went and bought a canon t7’rebel mid pandemic. I was determined to teach myself multiple styles of photography! And I did just that. That’s when I birthed TAY-TOOK-MY-PIC
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been pretty smooth along the way, and I’m so blessed to be able to say that. Although being an entrepreneur and business owner can be challenging some days. I’ve learned so much about myself throughout this process.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m a photographer with a photography company! I offer photos shoots of ALL KINDS! I’m a one woman show, for now, but I get the job done! I specialize in studio and food photography! I’m known for my lightly edited photos, and crisp clean finish. I’m so proud of how quickly my brand has grown in such a short period of time. I’ve had so many opportunities that I could have only dreamed of. I want others to know that you can truly do anything you set your heart to. I was just a girl, who had a hobby, who decided to revisit it, and made it a business.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
GO FOR IT! Nothing is out of reach. And what’s for you, will not miss you at all. My advice to anyone who’s just starting out, find something you love & become good at it. Don’t focus on the money, focus on your craft. Because when your craft is good, the money will chase you down.
