Today we’d like to introduce you to Tkeyah Hamilton-Niamike
Hi Tkeyah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always had a love for the arts! In high school I took photography and fell in love. I have been perfecting my craft since.
I started my business after my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020. I was also a new mom, struggling with my own self image.
One day after my mother’s double mastectomy, we decided to do a photo shoot to celebrate her new body and try to turn her situation into something empowering. Little did I know, that shoot would propel me into where I am today!
Four years and 3 children later, I dedicate my business to uplifting women who have gone through huge changes in their lives. My passion is to help them see themselves in a new light and to take all of the negative thoughts they have about their body, and transform them into something positive!
I also host a portrait fundraiser every year called Pamper Me Pink to celebrate breast cancer survivors and encourage them to share their story. We donate the proceeds to a chosen charity.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think the biggest struggle for me in my business was embracing myself for who I truly was and not letting other boudoir photographers define my style!
I remember one day, God told me “how can you help other women to fully accept themselves and their bodies if YOU haven’t even fully accepted yourself?”
From that moment on, I rebranded my business and decided to just BE ME!
And I still have my moments sometimes where I will start that comparison game with another photographer. But then I always come back to this: I help women love themselves by BEING a safe place to fully be themselves!

I am a professional boudoir and beauty photographer who specializes in Helping women memorialize their bodies and themselves exactly where they are in life, right here, right now.
We focus on internal beauty bringing out who a woman truly is. We don’t just tell our clients to wear lingerie and “ be sexy”. We help our clients to strip down internally and be their very honest, truest self. In this way, we capture a wide range of emotions and personalities during the sessions. It truly is a transformative experience!
What I am most proud of in my business is the joy that I provide my clients and the connections that I build with women all over the Houston area. That is why I am proud to call myself the Self-Joy and Body Love Expert. Because it’s not just a photo shoot. It’s self-love. It’s therapy! It’s laying down of what could’ve/should’ve/would’ve been and surrendering to what is. And THAT is true joy.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice would be to take your time and really get to know who you are and what you’re passionate about before trying to help others.
Except who you are and all of your Quirks because that is what is going to make you and your business successful. Don’t try to be like everyone else in your field. Yes, you want to learn from them before you learn from them learn about you!
