Hidden Gems: Meet Tuong Nguyen of theonecrawfish

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tuong Nguyen.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My family loves eating crawfish and seafood. I started cooking crawfish 10 years ago. When is crawfish season I cook crawfish for my family every week. My family said your crawfish is really good and they support me to open up a restaurant. With all of my family’s support, I have steadily honed my craft and developed my own recipe. After getting all of my ingredients down, I decided to take my cooking to serve the community. Therefore I was able to open “The One Crawfish & Seafood” on March 20, 2021. The hardest job of being the owner is management. Managing a restaurant during the pandemic added more challenges as not only had to manage employees, inventory, and general restaurant operations. I know the community would need a place to eat their seafood and enjoy it. Our goal is for our customers to be happy, satisfied, enjoy and eat good food. We always make sure our customers are happy therefore we always focus on customer service. We want customers to come in and be able to enjoy their foods with the best qualities.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Managing employees, and inventory. Making sure customers are always happy, and foods are always good.
